Summer Fun

This has been another busy but fun week! Cliff and I got out one night this week with some friends (Shawn and Jennifer) and went to dinner and the Braves game. This was part of Cliff's Father's Day present. We had a great time despite the fact that the Braves basically cheated us of our money. Cliff and I both made it on the big screen but at different times. It's kinda funny being up there. There is a delay that I never knew about because I've never been on it. It was fun! We got forced into the wrong lane on the way out and that made for an adventure getting back to the interstate. Jennifer and I were pretty scared in the backseat at one point when we were going very slowly through a very questionable area. But, we made it and it definitely created fun conversation and jokes!

My college friend (and old roomate) Jenny surprised her husband Ryan with a night out last night and arranged for Cliff and I to come and take care of her girls, Audrey and Ava. Those are the sweetest girls!! We had such a great time. Audrey is a wonderful big sister and does lots to help out with the baby. She also did lots to help out with Walker. She let him slide in her lap down the slide again and again and again. He loved it. She also explained to him about how babies can't play in fridges. He doesn't have a big sis to teach him these things at home...

Walker is still a little weird with Ava. We're still not sure the root of that but he was very interested in Audrey and liked to play with and laugh at her. He especially enjoyed playing outside with her and the big ball. :)


Cliff did a great job of playing with little girls. He played hairdresser for a long time. He fixed Audrey's hair and then she'd fix his. He blew on her hair to imitate a blow dryer and so of course she had to do the same with him...only she wasn't as skilled with keeping her spit in her mouth. :) He got a shower on his hair, that's for sure! Audrey told me this morning that she likes us both but that Uncle Cliff is her favorite. :) I'm ok with that. He's my favorite too!














The bedtime routines went very well and I thought it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I got Ava and Audrey down and Cliff took care of Walker's stuff. This morning we passed the time until Ava and Audrey's Grammie came eating breakfast, playing and watching TV. Walker showed Ava a little of his favorite show. Ava's mommy doesn't really watch Yo Gabba Gabba but we love it in our house!










We spent the afternoon at Cliff's family reunion. It was actually a good bit of fun. :) Here's a picture of one of Walker's favorite cousins...Tara...and she's one of my favorite friends, too! She's marrying Cliff's cousin Neal this Saturday and Cliff and I are both involved in the wedding. We are very much looking forward to the wedding festivities and Walker's looking forward to spending Friday night with Aunt Christie and Uncle Marshall while Mommy and Daddy do girl's and guy's nights...



Cliff and I took turns working this week, doing extra teacher stuff and making extra money. :) We are looking forward to the coming week...lots of fun stuff going on! My cousin Kelli is purchasing her first house and I'm helping with the cleaning/moving process. We have Neal and Tara's wedding festivities and then on Sunday we leave for the beach with the Craver clan!! We are very excited!!
Walker has two new teeth that have come in this week. That makes 6 total. The new ones are on the top on either side of the front two that are already in. These didn't seem to bother him at all, as I didn't even know they were coming until I saw them. MUCH unlike the middle front two. Yay!! Ok...it's been a long weekend and I'm worn out. Walker is going to visit his Nonni (my mom) for the day tomorrow. He's excited!! We'll miss him but the "break" will be nice...I know we'll be glad to get him back tomorrow evening!
