"Pity Peease?"

I walked into the livingroom tonight after bathtime and heard Walker talking in a very soft, but high pitched voice...when I turned the corner, this is what I found. :) So sweet. He still loves to read. This is his current favorite book and he was saying "buttons" over and over b/c there is a page with 10 groups of 10 buttons.

In case you're wondering why there are always pics of Walker and I where I hold the camera out, it's because he literally begs for them. He'll hold the camera and say "cheeeese" until I give in. He's even started mixing it with "cheeesee peease?" which is irresistable! Plus, one day he'll shun the idea of having his pic made with his mommy, so I'm happy to oblige!

This has been the season for home improvements! Tonight, Cliff was replacing our hallway light fixture (from the early 90's) with a new and much more modern one that we purchased (along with many other things) from Home Depot this weekend. Of course, this is important work and Walker HAD to make sure Daddy was doing it right. :) But first...look who got to climb the ladder. Pablo! Like I've said before, Pablo gets to do everything. He's very into "parenting" Pablo these days. He makes sure Pablo eats, brushes his teeth, reads, watches TV, etc...he definitely mimics Cliff and I. It's very cool to see his imagination blooming!

And of course, a quick snap of the camera before I removed him from harm. :) Look at that little grin. He really thought he was something!

I'm not even sure...back to that imagination...it's always something and things like this aren't rare in our home. It's just fun to catch on camera from time to time...even if it's blurry!

There are three things he loves-cars, balls, and BUBBLES. He and Cliff had so much fun with bubbles on Saturday...rainy days can be fun, afterall. (who am I kidding...we were ALL a little stir crazy). We did get out and go to Brinely's incredibley cute 4th birthday party where we had a blast. Walker really enjoyed playing with dolls. He pushed babies in the stroller, cooked & ironed. Cliff was having a fit!

He is such a loving child. Here is just an example of how sweet he is. I was snapping away pics of him walking in Cliff's shoes, which is below...and he ditched the shoes, ran to Cliff and gave him this big hug! He does this kind of thing all the time. He is so sweet.

And...another favorite activity? Walking in our shoes...every step he took in these he said "uh, uh, uh". Lots of work, I suppose.

And, Pablo gets many, many hugs. This makes me smile b/c I do see him copying so much of what Cliff & I do with him, and projecting that onto Pablo...so this of course, only proves what wonderfully loving parents we are. :) :) :)

Believe it or not...most of these pics weren't taken on the same day. For whatever reason, he runs around in the blue robot shirt and no pants quite often, it seems. :)
The past 3-4 days it seems like he's just talking non-stop. He's never slowed down on being verbal but for a few weeks it seemed like the rate at which he was picking up new words had slowed down a tad. Not anymore...he says words and phrases now that I have no clue where he gets. My most favorite is "cacker pity peease?" (cracker pretty please?) and he clasps his hands together and brings them up to his chin. Not exactly sure where this came from, but I'm pinning it on Aunt Christie b/c that's how SHE says pretty please. :) (not pity peease, but with the clasped hands...)

Walker's been a big help in the yard! He likes to rake. And...he's actually pretty good at it. We have so much fun out there...but it's a huge task and honestly, we are quite discouraged. If anyone wants to come volunteer to help us (without pay) please raise your hand! On that note, we're doing lots in the house too. We got new paint for the livingroom and our bathroom. We also got new light fixtures to replace the following ones that have been in our house since the early 90's: entryway, hallway, kitchen, and our bathroom. We finally got knobs and handles for our kitchen and bathroom cabinets & drawers. It's been so much fun slowly updating things in our home. It's freshly painted on the exterior as of last month and our wonderful friend Michael Doss installed heating & air in Walker's playroom so we are all good to go for summer!! Yay for home repairs. I'm excited to continue to do more!

i love the picture in his daddy's shoes...and I always love the pics of the two of you together that you take. One day you'll have to line all those up to see how much he's grown... if you do it 20 years from now you can watch your wrinkles show up too :) (ha ha...you love me)

He is SOOOO cute! I love how he loves Pablo. We are doing the exact same thing - SLOOOW renovation. Our next indoor project is either Jamie's playroom or having the ceiling painted. And the outside, our butterfly garden. There is always something to do it seems, right? And I bet there are lots of nice critters in your future. haha. I let Daryl man handle all things slimmy. I'll stick to dogs and cats.
