A New Kind of Ball?

There are two things our child is obsessed with-cars and balls. We have at least one of every kind of ball at our house...or so he thought! :) We went bowling last night for Gi-Gi's birthday. I was very curious as to how Walker would do, but knew with 10 adults going, there'd be more than enough hands to keep track of him. He did great and he loved it! He was very excited to see the balls rolling down the lanes and must have said "ball!" a million times. He also enjoyed a fun game where he'd step up onto the platform, walk a half-circle, then step down. Thus, I was spinning in circles because I was holding his hand. I felt a little bit like a ride at the fair-you know the kind where there's a pole in the middle and all the little "cars" that you sit in spike out? I was the pole, going round and round and round. I got very dizzy! But...he was entertained and staying out of trouble, so I was happy to oblige.

As you can see from the pics, Walker got to take turns bowling with alot of people. Here you see him bowling with Papa, myself, Gi-Gi, Cliff and Grammie. We all had different styles of letting him help.

He also got to do some other fun things, like ride on Mr. Thom's shoulders and dance to the music. He also got to eat popcorn...which he doesn't care for at home, but apparently is tasty at the bowling alley. Now, I cannot wait to take him when he's old enough to actually bowl by himself! We had a great time and wish Gi-Gi (formerly Aunt Red) a wonderful 27th birthday! Walker says he loves you and that you are one of his favorite aunts!! :)
