This post will be lots of pics. The first pic is of him doing a dance with my umbrella. There's a particular episode of Yo Gabba Gabba that he watches where the "rain is falling down, fresh water from the sky..." (sorry) and they dance with umbrellas. This is the way he let me know he wanted to watch it the other day. :) (and that's Martha the dog in the background. He loves that show too!)
He also had a playdate with Katie McCreary & Ava Lesniak the other day. A fun time was had by all...moms included!
They are all jumping in the bed here. :)
And...on to the snow pictures!! The first 6 are from Sunday when it first started snowing. We make the quick decision to get snowed in at my Dad's house. This is kind of a tradition and they live close enough by that we could get there quickly once it started sticking. Kathy always makes lots of yummy food and the rest of the family comes as well. It's snowtastic! (sorry)
Snowball fight...they were all throwing over his head and he just started picking up snow and chunking it. :) (we had a no throwing back rule in place...)
Monday morning pictures...we wound up with around 6 inches total. A little more in some places...
The snow "pile..." that Cliff helped Walker make.
Making snow angels with Uncle Cory.
A sled ride in a storage container. :) You might be a redneck IF...
This was by far Walker's favorite part of the whole experience.
We had a great time!! I'm so glad we decided to go to my Dad's. The yard is much bigger and Walker had plenty of room to play...so did the rest of us! Our yard is tee-niny but sure was pretty when we got home. In fact, most of our neighborhood is still covered with snow and it's Tuesday. Love it. :)
Ok, I have the potential to get rather long-winded and since this post is already long with pictures, I'm going to do some bullets and call it a wrap.
- When we ask Walker who he loves he replies "Mama Dada" most of the time. He's recently started pulling out random names. One of the more frequent ones is "Steee" which is Uncle Stephen. :) He still hasn't mastered conjunctions! ...but that's ok, neither have my 5th graders...
- What would a post be without a Judy quote? She told Cliff "If Walker doesn't grow up to be some sort of genius, I'll be disappointed...he's so smart!"
- When it rains now, he points out the window and says "raining..." except it sounds more like "naning". He also dances...back to the Gabba episode, I guess.
- He likes to pick out his own clothes. He gets a choice and pics what he wants to wear. :)
- When it first started snowing, we were eating lunch at the table after church. Our table sits in a bay window and he kept saying "naning" over and over. He eventually figured out that it wasn't "nane" it was "doe." :)
- Today when I got home, Judy said that Elmo had been talking on the phone all day. When he put the phone up to Elmo's ear he'd say "my mama..." SOOOOOOOO cute.
- They did a Science experiment today and he got to bring in some ice & snow off the deck. They put it in a bowl and checked back in from time to time as it melted. He was excited to show me when I got home. (yet another reason why I love her...)
- He has a new favorite word and it's "boo." He is constantly jumping out from behind things saying "boo!"
- Every night in the tub he asks for "boobles." ha ha ha ha. BUBBLES! Today I caught him in the bathroom squeezing his shampoo into the trashcan saying "boobles..." (he'd only been there a second, I was across the hall in the laundry room).
PS-I hope when I post this my pics aren't 8 miles apart...but somehow that always happens!
