We went to Stone Mountain Christmas again last night but this time we took Walker and my whole Dad's side of the family came. We had a great time. He loved it...the lights just mesmerized him. He spent most of the evening with his head leaning back looking around...I don't know how he doesn't have a crick in his neck!
Here's Daddy kissing Mommy under the mistletoe. He still knocks me off my feet! :) You can imagine my screeching when he dipped me caused quite the scene. So fun.
Here's the whole family with Santa...minus Cliff who opted to stay out so we could take our own pic and not have to pay. Ironically Kathy and Dad bought one for each of us anyway...I really wish Cliff had been in the picture. :(
Walker didn't care much for this part of the experience...
As soon as we got there, the parade was starting...and then we watched the Polar Express 4D. Walker actually sat and watched the entire thing. He got scared when they blew a strong puff of air in his face and cried for a second, but then watched the rest. We were very proud of him...Here he is waiting in line with Papa to go in the theatre.
Yesterday before Stone Mountain Christmas we all met at Kathy's office to eat pizza. Walker got a special surprise. This is a Christmas gift from Grammie and Papa. They wanted him to have it early because they know Christmas will be very overwhelming for him and they wanted to have a special moment (away from all the commotion) to give it to him. He LOVED it. At first, he wasn't so sure...and acted very shy with all 8 of us circled around the tractor waiting on his response. He just wanted to bury his head in Uncle Cory's legs...but it didn't take long for that to wear off and he was on his way...
It's been a great Christmas season so far. I can't believe Christmas is so soon. We are so excited! And of course...Walker continues to talk, talk, talk. I can't even keep up with all the words he knows anymore. He's putting phrases together..."put it in", "eat banana," etc...mostly stuff he just repeats from us. It's getting easier and easier to understand what he says. There are definitely some things that only people who spend an extreme amount of time with him can understand though. :) He's been a little better behaved this week, thankfully. Last week was a little rough for me emotionally as I am discovering just how difficult discipline is, in so many aspects...We'll survive it all though. I cling to the verse "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it..." ha ha ha ha ha...

So yea.... Jamie hated Santa, but loves her 4 wheel... so I guess they have all that in common! She also has the same haircut... poor little girl. :-) (actually, I think his is thicker... sigh)
I'm glad you guys are having a wonderful Christmas so far. Walker sure is cute and looks like he's just having a blast (except for with Santa... I should say). Yay for the new camera. I sure do need one of those too =)
