A New "Do"

I know I just updated yesterday but if I don't do this now, it will have to be lumped in with my Christmas update, and that will just be too long of a post! Walker and I got our haircut today. This was special because it was Walker's first haircut ever. He really shocked us and did great...didn't cry a bit and even flirted a little with the salon girls...He sat in my lap because he decided he did not want to sit in the booster seat, but it worked out very well. Here are a few before and after pics...

This is first thing this morning. This is a little more "wild" than normal, as he had just woken up...but it didn't get much better than this at all today.





























And at the salon...of course, Pablo went.














He was just so good!














Oh my goodness! SO cute, but SO sad! No more curls...(I was excited that it seems that one piece is just going to stand up, no matter what. It's one of my favorite parts about him!)














He had to sit in the shampoo chair too...just for fun, since he didn't do that part.














Cliff and I were unloading stuff from Walmart today and Walker was digging through the cabinets as usual. Well, we looked over and he had pulled out a plate and was helping himself to some goldfish! Thankfully I was pulling the camera out of his diaper bag at that exact moment so I was able to catch this shot!














Just posing with Mommy after a fun day getting our hair cut! (I got mine CHOPPED off...this picture doesn't even do it justice b/c of the way my shoulders are shrugged up...) And no, my sweater doesn't change colors depending on my mood...it's the same sweater, just a different color. I changed for my date tonight. :)





It's very likely that we will be in the ER at some point in the very near future...simply for the fact that Walker will not stop getting up on things that are way too high for him to be on. Tonight he climbed up on Dad and Kathy's counter (which he's done before with ASSISTANCE) but had no assistance this time!!
He's been full of hugs and kisses and loves the past few days. I'm loving that. It comes in spurts and I have to soak it all in when I can!!
He's also started saying "cheese" when I am going to take a picture. Since he's said that word for a long time now as it relates to food, it's neat to see him use it in a different context. We've entered a new era of him posing for the camera. Silly goose.
I've been meaning to post this as well...but for a while now, he's been able to identify "hot" and "cold." He uses them correctly whenever he feels something hot or cold. If his food is hot he will tell me...if he walks outside and it's cold he will say "Cold!" When the oven is on he insists on touching the door with his hand and telling us it's "hot..." When he brushes his teeth and he turns on the faucet and ice cold water gets on his toes (which he loves) he says "cold!" It's so cute. :)
