32.5 weeks

Well, I have 7.5 weeks until little man's due date. I cannot believe how fast this time has gone by! We really enjoyed our infant care and breastfeeding classes last Saturday. The infant care class was pretty much pointless, but fun. We already knew all the stuff we learned thanks to my massive reading skills and one very resourceful friend. :) The one thing we didn't expect was to see meconium (baby's first poop) coming out of a tiny hiney on video. I must say that was disgusting and I sure hope that Walker has his diaper on when his comes out! I think changing it might be easier to stomach than actually watching it come out.

The breastfeeding class was another story. I found it very helpful and learned some things I didn't know. Cliff on the other hand found it very hilarious...I think because he was so uncomfortable. You could feel the weirdness in the room hovering over all of us...the guys I think just didn't know what was coming on that video. At one point something somewhat funny happened and everyone in the room busted out laughing. You could tell that we all just needed a release to break the tension.

I have yet to pack my hospital bag which I wrote about wanting to do a while back. I just haven't had the energy and really I just get this "lost" feeling whenever I attempt to do it. So, it sits empty. Tonight I thought I'd start washing some of his clothes, but wasn't sure what to wash so I called Kathy and asked her. We both agreed that I'd wait a while and do it when it wasn't stressing me out or I'd rely on someone to do it for me when the little guy is born. My dilema is that I have no clue how much he will weigh. Newborn clothes are for 5-8 lbs and what if he's bigger than that? I don't want to wash a bunch of clothes I could return or even regift for that matter!

My mom and Kelli came up yesterday and helped me do some stuff to get my nasty house in order! Cliff and I have both had some late nights with me having stuff goign on at work and him having football practice and the house literally just fell apart. Mom came back today and finished up and I cannot even begin to say how thankful I am and now much this helped me out. Thank God for great family!

The past few days, Walker is picking random body parts to stick out. He likes to push me to see how far my skin will stretch, I think. He's so cute! Cliff and I both are just crazy in love with our little baby already. We cannot wait to meet him and look forward to all the changes he will bring...even the difficult ones.
