Sweet Will

Will is 7 weeks old today. I don't know where the time is going. I wish I could make time stand still and just stay this way forever...

In his short 7 weeks, Will has added more love to our home than we could have ever imagined. We've seen God show up in ways that we never expected, we've felt a love for our child expand into a love for our children...and it's knocked us off our feet. We are amazed daily at God's love and the way that we see it through the eyes of this sweet baby daily.
Will is such a sweetheart! He is a very happy baby. He rarely cries still. He does cry, all babies do, but rarely. He smiles all the time. At anyone. He doesn't even have to like you. :) But, he likes everyone. He's a charmer...already charming the ladies. He gets especially excited when he hears MY voice. When someone else is holding him and I start to talk, his eyes become very alert. He will usually start to kick his legs and flap his arms. He loves his mama. He loves his Daddy too. He loves, loves, loves his big brother. He thinks Walker is hilarious. He isn't laughing necessarily, but Walker can get him to do the closest thing to it. With a giant smile on his face he will "heh, heh, heh" a few times which causes his entire body to jolt with excitement. It's really a sight to behold.

He holds his head up for insane amounts of time for his age and I "fear" his determination and stubborness will be inherited from his brother!

He's content to sit in his bouncy, swing or glider for up to about an hour and loves to marvel at his toys. He often smiles and talks to Mr. Red Frog. Mr. Red Frog earned his name when Walker was an infant and has quickly won Will's affection as well. He HATES to be in his carseat if the van isn't moving. If the van is moving, he's a happy baby.

He is doing so much better with his reflux since upping his medication to two doses a day. This has pretty much eliminated the nighttime blues. He sleeps wonderfully. He will wake to eat and I can put him down awake and he goes right back to sleep, no problem. The last few nights we have gotten 5 and 6 hour stretches of sleep. I love feeding him in the night when he does wake. There is something so sacred about those moments that just the two of us share...moments I will never get back, and moments that I never take for granted.

He eats approximately 5-6 oz per bottle every 3 hours during the day and every 5-6 hours during the night which usually equates to an early morning feeding...around 5:30 on average. He is in size 1 diapers and 3 months clothing. He is our sweet Will and we are so blessed. I am thankful for the time we had as a family of three to enjoy Walker, but now that we are a family of four our hearts continue to just overflow with happiness!
