Walker is quite an entertaining three year old boy. Just wanted to dedicate a post to jotting down some things about him at this stage in his life, our first little love.
Walker loves Cubbies and he loves to go to church. He loves to talk about God and what he's learning in Toddler Train station and he can't wait to go back every week. He also loves Lily, but that's beside the point. :) He misses her when they aren't together and wants to see her as soon as possible.

He enjoys dressing himself these days and comes up with some quite interesting attire. The shirt around his neck was his scarf...yes, we nipped that in the bud, just in case you were wondering. :) We try not to squealch the desire to be original too much...we want him to express himself when he can. And since we were just going to the Hornsby's here, we let him have his way. He had on five pair of socks under each boot. No, I'm not kidding.

He likes to build. He will build with blocks, dirt, sticks, or in this case pillows. Anything will do. He also likes positioning himself into the small crevices inside his creations...he calls them his Beaver's hole...who knows? We don't even try to figure it out.

He's incredibly mischevious. Here he devised a plan with his partner in crime for the day, to come saw their mommies. Or maybe it was her idea? I hear (from her mommy) that she leads her friends astray. I don't buy it . Just look at that face!
Walker is always playing tricks on us and trying to get away with a good bit of things that are off-limits.

He is so very cute right now and really enjoys wearing hats like his Daddy.

He also enjoys pretending to be anything that he's really not...for instance, here he was being a lion on a moutain about attack his Daddy.

Gone are the days when we had a shy boy. He's extremely social now. Loves to be with other kids and makes friends (children and adult alike) whereever he goes. Sometimes I prefer the shy Walker. :) He's quick to tell other children who are feeling shy that it's ok because he used to feel shy too. Already using his situations to reach out to others the way God intends us to do. :)

He loves, loves, loves to play games on the computer. He likes pbskids.org and nickjr.com the best. Occasionally he will venture to other websites designed for kids. He can totally navigate the two I mentioned on his own. He requires no help. This is typically a dinner prep or lunch prep time activity.

He loves his mommy. Alot.

And likes to pose for pics that we take of ourselves...even though he told me the other day that if he were the Daddy his rule would be "no more pictures, Mommy!"

Walker is into games of any kind. I love this because I love games myself . I have been looking forward to this stage. Here he was playing Cootie with Cristy. Walker affectionately refers to this game as Tootie Bug. Cristy and I are still laughing about that one! I can't get him to call it the right thing no matter how many times we practice.

He also loves junk food! (imagine that??) He literally wakes up and says "Can I have junk food for breakfast mommy?" He already knows the answer is no, but he still asks every single day. I guess maybe he thinks he will catch me on a weak moment at some point.

He enjoys painting things as well. He often paints pictures for Cliff and I and will proudly display them on the fridge before they are actually dry. Then they drip. All part of the fun. :)

Very rarely does he stop running...and he likes to make LOTS of noise!

He likes to pretend to be people we know too. Here he was pretending to be our cousin Jake. He was pretend talking to Stephen about pulling something with their tractor...the rope is his tractor here. :) (and no, we don't let him play with this unsupervised. In fact, he really doesn't play with it at all. It just caught his attention tonight)

He is an EXCELLENT big brother. Even if he gets a tiny bit jealous (which he does from time to time) he never takes it out on Will. He love, love, loves his little mini-me.
He often pretends to be two people at once. Here hew as carrying on a conversation with Evan the fireman and some other fireman. Evan would ask the other fireman a question. He'd change into the other fireman and answer. Back to Evan. You get the point.

At three, we also find him compassionate and loving. He's very sensitive of others feelings...and he can be quite sensitive himself. He is our never-ending source of entertainment and every now and again frustration...he's our resident tornado with a splash of hurricane force and he is my number one fan. Couldn't imagine life without this little guy, my first little love. :)
