Will is 5 weeks old today. At his doctor appointment yesterday he weighed 9 lbs and 5 oz. He is cute as can be! He is developing quite the little personality and can be quite demanding at times. The more we get to know him, the more determined we are that he wants to be like his big brother!

For instance, we have a picture of Walker with this pose going on...hands and all... :)

He also seems to have a mind of his own..perhaps already contemplating how he can get into trouble when he's a little older!

He likes to use his middle finger. Alot. NAUGHTY. (but funny all at the same time)

He now enjoys his baths...though he gets them lots less frequently than Walker did...averaging MAYBE 2 a week. :) Walker was an every other dayer. :)

He gets baby acne and splotchiness after his baths on his face, even though we don't wash his face with soap...but it's cute.

He can sometimes look just like Walker when he was a baby. Like here. Othertimes not. Just depends. He also has reflux like his brother and perhaps an even more severe case as it's recently really flared up. We are getting it under control now...he's been switched to Prevacid from Zantac, also what Walker was on and is now on the same formula with added rice starch for reflux babies that Walker took. Still having to buy it in ready made. Still costing us a fortune. But, it's worth it. :)

He likes to take pictures with Mommy and Walker. Or maybe not. But until he's old enough to tell me, he doesn't have a say...and even then, he won't have a say. Just ask big brother. :) Mama likes her pictures.

He enjoys Mommy wearing him, which I do frequently because it just makes life easier. SO thankful Jenny gave me her carrier when I was pregnant with Walker. I didn't use it much before, but it's a lifesaver on so many occasions now. Of course today, he slept a large portion of the day away in it...hoping this doesn't mess up tonight! (and i am rather tender around my incision area from the extra strain)

...he also likes to sleep on Mama when he's not being "worn..." I don't so much mind it either. but I also like for him to sleep in his "bed" which he does wonderfully. Most of the time. Unless reflux is rearing it's ugly head...which it does from time to time. Makes me want to kick it in it's nonexistant booty.
He sleeps great at night, waking to eat and going right back to sleep. He's still on a 3 hour schedule at night. Will do anything for my babies, but hoping the intervals start to stretch soon. :) Especially since he takes forever to eat and I get not so much rest in between!

Will's arrival has sent me into curly hair mode. I knew it would, so I started preparing before he came...searching out curling gels in stores and getting advice from my curly haired friends. It's a work in progress, but gets better with time...and saves me about 35 minutes of getting ready time. SUCH a luxury.

He is plum cute, even with his head cut off...

...and still cute when he yawns...

He smiles at Mommy all the time!

...and smiles at Daddy too. (don't tell Daddy but this is actually a gas smile. a mom knows the difference. he closes his eyes with a gas smile...)

He is practically precious in every way...and he warms our hearts. He reminds me of God's love and provisions more than almost anything else on a daily basis and we love him so much!

Nicole, both your babies are beautiful and so is your curly hair. Looks like you are really enjoying your maternity leave. Glad Will's bout with the NICU is over. That is no fun at all.
