Cliff has been assistant coach for the VMMS Generals football team for 3 years now. This season was his first season as head coach...and it was a great season! I must say, I prefer games where they are winning by a landslide-I'm not one of those fans that needs a close game to find it exciting. The championship game was a little too close for my comfort...but the Generals did a great job pushing through and reminding us all that they are in fact, GENERALS! I stood in the stands and cried as I watched the love of my life achieve something wonderful. He has worked so hard with those boys and those boys have worked so hard. Cliff's number one goal has been to be a strong role model for his players and a supportive coach who effectively pushed them to be the best they could be. I am so proud of him! Here are a few pics from the Championship game.
Of all the fans that Cliff had supporting him from game to game, I must say the littlest one was his biggest. Walker would clap and cheer and chant for the Generals. "Go team!" "Go Genals!" "Let's win!" This picture is from after the playoff game when he ran onto the field to hug his Daddy.
