Spaghetti Hat

Walker's EEG went excellent today! He was extremely cooperative and was very obviously comfortable with Gail, the lady who administered his test. He was excited about his "Spaghetti Hat" as we termed it over the weekend. I was just in shock at how well he did. It took maybe 30 minutes or so to measure of his head, mark it and get all the electrodes attached and he laid so still. He talked and goofed off with Gail and us during the whole process. She gave him a mirror, so he could see himself and he really enjoyed that part. Then he had to do the light test-not sure what the technical term is, but they have something over his face that flashes lights, then stops, then flashes more quickly...then after it maxes out, it slows down. He enjoyed that, giggling at times. She told us some people just see black and white and others see shapes & colors. He said he saw a firetruck, so we're assuming he maybe saw a red rectangle??? Next, she asked him to take a nap and that when he woke up he could see Nonni. (we'd obviously talked about this during set-up). I got to lay beside him on the bed and he went right to sleep. He did a perfect job! We'll have our results in about a week. I snapped this pic right before the test began-it's not a great one, but I didn't want to waste her time taking pics.
Since he was supposed to be tired for the test and we had to keep him up late the night before, we decided driving to Atl. at naptime was not the best idea. So, we went up this morning to the museum. There was a Curious George exhibit there this time, so some things were new. Walker had a great time. He was extremely interested in the dress-up section this time. Here he is being a construction worker!
This was part of the Curious George exhibit-he got to help George wash windows!
Here he is being a fireman of course...and way out of the dress-up section. I had to pry this outfit off him. He's sitting in front of Curious George's rocketship, which was really cool since he tells me that he sees rocketships in the sky all the time these days!
Walker and Daddy enjoyed fishing. Walker got really excited when Daddy caught one!

This might have been his favorite besides dressing up like a fireman. It was a little section where Curious George was at the farm. He got to put stuffed bunnies, pigs and roosters in and out of their cages...and in each others' cages. He did this quite a few times.
Here he is with George! (and notice Jumpy on the tree behind him...) That's where he got the name for our squirrel that lives in our backyard and always plays on our deck.

Sunday afternoon, we made the gingerbread train. You can definitely tell we let Walker have a LARGE part in putting it together and decorating. It was lots of fun and he had a great time doing it...and tasting it!
