GIANT T-REX COMING!

Life has just been a whirlwind. I'm so thankful for Thanksgiving break! Lots of new things going on around here...
Walker's finally starting to EAT stuff. He will try lots of new things now...when he wants to. He's liked corn for a while now, but this particular night he also cleaned his entire plate of grilled chicken, potatoes, corn and bread! That's a huge deal considering the chicken wasn't chicken nuggets!
We also decided to move the sectional back into the livingroom after much thought and consideration. :) Even though it's an awkward fit, we love this couch. We have so many memories on it, can fit to cuddle while watching TV, etc... and overall, it's just more comfortable for Cliff to lay on and relax after we go to bed than the red couch-and that's important! Plus, he "hooked" me with reminding me how handy and comfy this couch was when Walker was a newborn and we were up at all hours of the night and asked me to picture myself doing the things I did, on the red couch-he won. :) Thankfully, we have some great friends who came over and helped us move and rearrange a thousand times until we found the best way.
We went to Eastside's playoff game the other weekend...we stayed until only 2 minutes left on the clock and Walker was a dream child. He's very into watching sports already and when he was tired of it, he had his firetrucks-which will entertain him for hours. I couldn't believe we made it through almost the entire time...
His very most favorite play thing right now is making his firetrucks go in and out of "garages..." Garages can be made from anything, by the way. Here, he transformed his blanket into a garage and those firetrucks came in and out, wailing their sirens, for a really long time this particular day!
This is just a really cute picture from one day when we were playing outside this week...isn't he a handsome little boy???
He loves swinging on tree trunks and climbing trees. Makes me a nervous wreck-but so is the life of a boy.
Just being goofy-he had brownie mix all over his face and was wearing his Mr. Potato Head glasses. :)
Walker got a new twin bed. My mom got this for him as part of his birthday present, but it just recently arrived. He LOVES his new twin bed. He spends more time playing in it than he does sleeping, as he's starting to display bedtime fears. :) He's afraid of scary dinosaurs at bedtime all of a sudden. Almost every night he asks "dinosaurs not coming, mommy?" and other times he says "Dinosaurs outside my window scare me." He informed us that there was a giant t-rex outside our bedroom window the other night! The most precious thing ever was the other night... he said something like "scary dinosaur outside my window, I read my Bible..." How precious are God's children??? He is so vocal about God and how God loves him and helps him to not be scared. It blesses my heart. I love how my child already loves God in the best way he can...
He still really enjoys helping me with dinner. This particular night I just needed him out of my way...SO...I gave him a bowl with two of the ingredients I was using-parm cheese and Italian dressing...and ta-da! This was the result. :)
Walker's always saying something funny. The other day he said "I not change my diaper anymore mommy." and so I said "well, then you have to start using the potty." and he said "I not use potty, I too old!" He's got such a smart mouth right now!
If he has a twinge of pain he says "ouch, spiders biting me." Sometimes it's ants...you just never know. I don't even believe the child when something really is biting him. Someone called him "the boy who cried ant bites" the other day...ha ha. SO TRUE. Maybe there will be a story abotu him one day to teach other little kids lessons!
He's working hard to be brave. He tells us all the time he's a big boy. We got a new vaccuum and he was helping Cliff get it ready. When I was about to turn it on, he said "I not scared of vaccuum anymore" but as he was saying it, he was literally racing backward to the couch. It was quite funny.
He can now count to 15 consistently without messing up and counts his way out of time-out. Speaking of time-out, it's going wonderfully. He knows where time-out is and he knows that before he can get out, he has to tell us what he did wrong and apologize. He does a great job! He always knows what he did wrong and is able to tell us.
He's recently started correctly counting objects-for a while, he's been counting and touching objects, but he'd just say a bunch of numbers-he may count to 3 before moving to the next object. But, earlier this week he started truly counting. So fun!
He will also "read" an entire book. He read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to me the other day. "Caterpillar ate 3 gapes, still hungee..." It was precious! He read every single page.
