Thomas the Train Party!

Here I am finally updating the blog almost a week after Walker's birthday party. This is the morning after his party while we were all getting ready for church. I just thought this was cute. :)
This is my Jenny...one of the most important people in my life and one of those who are among the "privileged" to keep me sane. :)
Walker got to invite 2 friends-Audrey and Ava. Actually-don't tell him, but I really invited them so that mommy's friend would be at the party. :) But, we let him think the friends were for him. Ha ha! They had a blast playing in the jumpy and with all Walker's new toys. Jenny & I were pregnant together with Walker & Ava shortly after our miscarriages and they are 1 week apart. They have a special relationship, whether they know it yet or not!
Walker wasn't convinced that opening the rest of his presents was a good idea after he got his kitchen. Guess mommy and daddy did good this year. :) Eventually he opened them all and did a great job doing so-he got lots of cool stuff-but not before he and the girls played kitchen. And...the adorable little thing in the blue is Addison. This is my Heather's little girl. Heather and I grew up best friends and have been friends most of my life. She's one of my oldest friends but lives in Chattanooga now so we normally only see each other once a year. She just happened to be in town the night of Walker's party so she and Addy got to come. I was SO excited!
Here is Walker's cake. I didn't get many great pics of Walker's party this year but I guess that's good. I wont' fill an entire album up with birthday pics like I did last year. :)
Having so much fun on his new "motorcol" from Grammie & Poppy.
This is how he ended his party-playing in the rain. Jen & Ryan packed their girls up and went home while this was going on...I can't imagine why!!??
And...of course there was cake! (this was actually before playing in the rain, but apparently I'm not good at posting pics in order)
It was a great party! Walker had lots of fun with his "friends" and all the grownups had a nice time too. I didn't feel stressed out, not even once during this party this year. It truly was just perfect. We couldn't have asked for more.
Walker was very shy during the Happy Birthday song, which we totally expected...what I DIDN'T expect was that he'd start squeezing my boob over and over...maybe some weird coping mechanism?? Not sure where THAT came from, the kid wouldn't even breastfeed!!
Funny memory nonetheless...
The entire week before his party he kept talking about his Happy Birthday. The morning of the party he was sooo excited. The next day he asked to go back to Judy's cabin for his Happy Birthday and just this afternoon he said "Audrey be back. Audrey jumps." Ha ha. He loves his friends!
Here are the kiddos jumping in the jumpy. This was before Addy got there, but I'm sad she's not in it. Thanks Gi, Gi for this contribution!!
I feel like this isn't much of a post, but it's been an overwhelming week. Next task-packing for Disney...7 days!!!!!!
