Walker Is Two!

Here are a few pics from Walker's actual birthday day. His "happy birthday" as he calls it. :) I know I'll want to do an update after his party Saturday but I didn't want to leave out his actual Happy Birthday. For some reason the pics posted backwards...so the chain of events is from bottom up. (except the video)
Our little family had a mini-party. That's actually his Curious George banner from last year, but I'm quick on my feet. :) I printed Thomas and stuck him on top at the last minute. Genius.
What a little charmer!

And of course Pablo had some cake. This was the very first thing that happened after he "drove" the train across the top of the cake.

We made cupcakes too...he enjoys helping, as you can tell by the look on his face.

And, before all that we went to the park. We also got to sit on a firetruck that was visiting our neighborhood. Walker loves Fireman Sam right now and was so excited when he saw the firetruck testing hydrants. He said Fireman Sam came to see him on his Happy birthday. It was darling... I thought I picked that picture to post, but apparently I didn't. You can check it out on facebook. :)

And...pardon the singing, but here's our rendition of Happy Birthday. Notice Walker is only interested in letting us know he sees Thomas until he starts trying to blow out his candles. The noise he makes is so funny. It will be interesting to see what he does Saturday with his big cake.

We had a great day...and at 3:53 on the dot I happened to look down at my watch and I was overwhelmed with a flood of emotions remembering what it felt like to touch him and see him for the first time at that exact hour two years ago after not knowing what exactly our outcome would be that day. (man that's a long sentence...and I'm an English teacher! But, it's late and I'm tired, so I'm leaving it...)
Check back later for an update on his Thomas the Train party.
