Veggie Tales

I signed on to blogger last night to update and then got distracted by changing my font colors and making links to other friends blogs on my homepage. By the time I was done with that it was time for me to go to sleep.

Things are going great for us! Walker is continuing to sleep like a champ. Last night he even wanted to go to bed at 6:00 so we gave him his bedtime bottle and he was out around 6:20. He slept until 7:15 this morning.

He's still enjoying time in his jumperoo but has become much more interested in running free. He has started "crawlking" constantly. Since the day we took the video that was last posted he has started doing that every time he's on the ground. He now can take a few steps (usually 2-3) before he meets up with where his hands are and then topples over because at that point he's so unevenly balanced. He has no clue what to do with his hands yet. He's no longer rocking back and forth on his knees either, it's all about getting on his hands and feet.

His favorite toy right now is a Fisher Price farm we got him for Christmas. He will go clear across the room to get to it when he spots it and he loves to push the pig side to side and listen to him snort and laugh. A pig that laughs...Walker will be so misled. :)

He has now had all the veggies that Gerber 1st foods has to offer and loved them all. I think by far, sweet potatoes has been his favorite. He continues to make his eating noise and has gotten even louder. I hope he isn't doing this by the time he starts dating...or he's doomed to a life at home with mommy and daddy forever. :)

We've also started him on cereal in the morning after his bottle so he's getting solids at breakfast and lunch.

He's finally starting to get on a schedule that seems consistent from day to day. It looks something like this:

7:00-wake up
7:30-bottle and cereal
9:00-nap (usually about an hour and a half)
11:15-lunch (bottle)
12:30 or 1:00 nap
3:15-afternoon snack (bottle)
5:00-veggies and bottle
6:45ish to 7:15ish-bedtime bottle

This was before last night when he went down so early, so it may be all about to change!

Even though so much has changed for him recently the one thing that seems to be the same is that he is such a happy baby. He never cries except for the occasional moment where he wasn't laid down on time and is just too sleepy. He's just constantly smiling...and who knew some of the random things that don't seem funny to us are in fact, hilarious?? I guess I should also note that sometimes he gets upset if we have to leave the room...but he did that more when he was sick and not so much now. I do notice some of the seperation anxiety at times. I guess we're in for a lot of fun with that.

We're still waiting on teeth. None so far! They don't even seem to be bothering him at all...just so drooly and of course always putting stuff in his mouth. So, maybe soon.

Finally, the cutest thing happened the other night. We had to be out later than planned and Walker was at Cliff's parents house. So, he was a little later going down by about 30 minutes. When we got home he was not interested in sleep. He wanted to play! I was holding him and rocking back and forth doing my best to ignore his attempts at play so he'd settle down. He kept talking to me and gurgling. Then he reached up and squeezed my nose and I kid you not, he started cracking up. It was as if he knew EXACTLY what he had done. :) I love my kid!

I've been a slacker at taking pics this month but at the top are some of the few we have taken.

Glad you guys are doing so well! Walker's going to be running around before you know it! Just wait until he discovers the kitchen cabinets :)
