Walker is doing so much new these days! I cannot believe he is nearing 5 months. The time is flying. Alot has happened since my last post. He's been sick. Been better. Been sick again. I'm thinking we have finally gotten it out of his system...for now!
He went through a time when he did not sleep nearly as well and deeply as he had been but he seems to be getting back on track with that as well, because he's given us several full nights of sleep the past few days.
He lasts about 2 or 2 and a half hours during the day before he needs a nap right now. Sometimes he needs a cat nap, other times he needs a LONG nap.
He's learning so much these days and really starting to interact with us more and more verbally. He "talks" back to us when we talk to him. He's trying so hard to say something to us. He gets so excited and just goes on and on...I know he probably wishes we'd get with the program and learn baby language.
He is loving his jumperoo these days, as you can tell from the video. He will entertain himself with the toys, watch TV, watch mommy and daddy or just jump, jump, jump!
He laughs out loud several times a day now and he is finding more and more things quite funny. Yesterday we were with a bunch of Cliff's family members and I said in my silly mommy voice "Walker, can you laugh out loud?" and he actually did it. Laughed on demand. Classic. Never before, never again.
He's desperately trying to sit. He can last a few seconds at the most right now but he's getting better and better by the day. We practice daily.
He didn't seem too interested in solids so we have taken a break. We will probably try again over our winter break which is not this week, but the next. We will have more time to pursue it with patience that week. :)
He's so close to holding his own bottle. I'm proud of him but it makes me sad at the same time. He'll need me less when he can do that. Right now he fights me for it. He will pull on it, pull it out of his mouth and squeeze the nipple between his fingers, then put it back in his mouth. He does this several times a feeding when he's in the mood. Silly boy.
He's such a morning person. We don't know who he got this from. Certainly not us. He's his happiest, bright and early. I can't believe he will be 6 months in just a few short months. I can't believe how fast time is going now that he is here! Here are a few pics of him sitting by himself, Super Bowl Sunday and a few others...
