"You gave birth to the Energizer Bunny" -Jenny Lesniak

What a difference a week can make! My already "very busy" child has been transformed into the Energizer Bunny! This child will not be still.

I'm going to make this quick because he went to bed early and it's my chance to get in bed before 10 pm! (wow)
I'm including pictures so that you can see some of what we've experienced this week. These aren't my typical "shining smile" pics...they are the action shots. :)

New things: (pictures included for some of them...)1. Arches back where he is standing on his toes and balancing on his head when we try to put him in the carseat. Couldn't get him in the act, but caught it on the way back down. :)
2. REFUSES to settle down at night the way he used to. So scared he's going to miss something. Bedtime, which was once SO easy for us has now become quite the challenge.
3. Up on his knees and ready to go! Only problem is once he gets there, he inevitably finds something he wants to reach for...so down (or over) he goes. It's still cute that he can get up there. It took me a MILLION shots with my camera before I actually got him while he was up.
4. Can't use the swing anymore...pictures will explain. This is EVERY time we put him in it. :) Not so safe...
5. He's been waking up around 6 am the past week and a half and also a little before that around 2 am just to "visit" with us. What happened to my 8 pm -8 am sleeper??
6. Two mornings ago I laid him in the "ocean" to pull on the hangy down things. I left the room for literally two minutes or less. I came back and he was (NO KIDDING) about 3 feet away from where I left him...on his tummy. I'd put him on his back. He either rolled or scooted. Either is a possibility. Regardless, he was on the carpet. We'll have to be really careful about loose change, etc now...
7. He has been eating rice cereal with apples in it and LOVES it. He tried bananas last night and didn't seem too excited about them.
8. He jumps nonstop in his jumperoo, apparently even sleep doesn't stop that! He fell sound asleep, would start jumping and conk back out. Hilarious. I wish I could put the video on here but we used the real camera and I don't know how to do that...
9. He fingerpainted a picture for Cliff and I for our anniversary. (Nonni helped with this...SO sweet!!)
10. He's making a smacking noise with his mouth now. It's almost like a kiss but not...he did it all afternoon. I think it's his new favorite thing.

We've had a great (but exhausting) week! My birthday, and our Val-a-versary were also wonderful. I can't believe we've been married 4 years! For my birthday Cliff surprised me with a getaway next Monday night. We're going to Embassy Suites, Ruth's Chris for dinner and the Aquarium the next day. Doesn't get much better than that...especially when I didn't have to drop a single hint! Love that man...
