This little piggy...
Today is Walker's 4-month "birthday." It was a big day for him! He got to taste rice cereal for the first time. We opted for the spoon/bowl method as opposed to putting it in his bottle. He did such a good job! We think he liked it. He kept grabbing the spoon and trying to shove it in his own mouth. Cliff was the one doing the feeding and I was snapping the pictures. Not sure how we came to this agreement but that's what we did. I ended up giving him one "bite" though because I couldn't stand it. :) We fed him 5 oz before hand and then gave him the cereal. It was a big ordeal with lots of excitement! Then we bathed him and now he's taking the rest of his bedtime bottle. He's been taking about 13 oz at night the past few nights. What a little piggy! Other notable things going on include his new habit of grabbing his medicine dropper everytime we give him his Prevacid. He wants to grab it and shove it down his throat. I keep waiting on him to scratch the roof of his mouth but so far he just seems to love the medicine. Today I had him in his walker in the kitchen while I was cooking dinner (first time I've cooked in a LONG time) and he had three little balls on the tray with something in each one. He literally kept picking them up and throwing them on the ground. He'd watch them until they stopped rolling and then he'd start going "eh, uh, eh, uh" until I picked them up. Now, how in the world could he reason that?? This past weekend he started jabbering so much more. He talks my head off these days and has a very loud voice. Can't imagine who he gets that from. He "yells" at me and then stops for a minute with a blank expression and then breaks into a huge grin. His smiles are a way of life around our house. It's not often that he isn't wearing one and they just warm our hearts! Everyday when Cliff walks in, Walker's eyes get so big and then he smiles so huge...no matter what. Every time. I've loved watching his interaction with Cliff from the beginning. I can remember posting the first few weeks of his life about how he responded to Cliff when he came through he door after work. He likes to play "Up and Down" now. He will stand in our lap, drop down and stand back up immediately. He would do this all night long if I didn't get tired. Well, here is a slideshow of his 4 month "birthday..." Hope you enjoy! (You may have to hold the mouse over the slideshow to make it scroll)
