Watermelon Picnic

We love our grass! We spend the daytime evening hours out in our yard every night that we are home. We are enjoying it so much. We have never, never, never, ever spent time in our yard in the almost 8 years that we have lived here. In fact, our yard has been a source of much stress in my life...I didn't even like going out there. But now it's different...now we LOVE our yard!!

We went outside for a watermelon picnic this evening...Walker's idea. He begged and begged me to cut the watermelon, so I chilled it all day and then cut it up. He didn't eat not a single piece. :) But...we had lots of fun!!

How cute are they??
Notice Daddy working hard in the background. :)

They are doing "something" to the yard. I have no idea what. The yard is Cliff's "domain..." :) Walker gets to help.

Walker asked if Poppy & Grammie could come over, so we let him call them. They came right over and enjoyed watermelon with us and some outside time!

Walker and Grammie had hula hoop races. Notice Walker's "yes" symbol with his arm. :)

We are SO enjoying summer. Cliff and I feel so blessed to both be at home with our boys during the summer. We are having probably the best summer of our lives. Walker is at a really fun age for "doing" things. Having us both home has allowed us to each spend some quality time with each boy. If we do something with Walker that Will can't participate in, the other is usually available to take care of Will. It's nice to switch on and off and also to just have loads of family time with one another, and friend time too! Because we are home all the time right now too, neither of us feel guilty about the occasional girl day/guy day either. It's just nice to have the freedom we have. We are enjoying it while we can because school will start back soon and I am sure it will be quite an adjustment for us all!
