Will turned 3 months on June 8. I am a little late on his 3 month update...but I am here now!
This post will be all about Will at 3 months. So, here are his feet...in our new grass...that he LOVES... At 3 months, he has cankles. He also has never ending rolls on his thighs and diaper area. I SO wish I could post a picture of that!
He is still rolling from front to back only. He is trying really, really hard to roll from back to front. He gets SO mad when he cant' get his little fat self over. He gets stuck on his chubby little leg. It's so cute. :)
Despite my resistance, he loves his walker. Loves it. So, we have it pulled back out and he is in it alot each day. I keep him on the carpet though, so he isn't running around the kitchen before I am ready for him too! (can you say DENIAL?)
Will likes to watch his feet when he is in his Bumbo seat. They are funny. :)
He also enjoys bringing his hands together in front of his face. They are funny too.
He can remove and replace his own paci, as long as he doesn't let go of it in the process.
He has learned to scooch, and therefore can't be left on a bed, couch, etc because he will just find his way off...thankfully we realized this before it had to happen.
He "talks" to us and has a deeper voice at this point than Walker did. He loves carrying on conversations and gets so excited when we talk back to him. He also talks to his toys.
The only complaint we have had about Will, and the only way he hasn't been what we'd describe as the "perfect" baby is his time spent in his baby car seat. He hates it. Car rides are not fun for our family. Especially Walker. Poor guy.
Will just cries and cries. This was puzzling to us because of how much he loves to sit in his swing, bouncy, walker, Bumbo, etc... But I did some research and found out that babies with reflux tend to not do well in infant carrier car seats. Something about the way they are positioned with their tummies bent tends to cause the reflux (which is has a very severe case of) to flare up. A few articles I read suggested moving them into convertible car seats. Again, against my better wants I moved him over today. We rode a few places, and he did wonderfully. I don't really want him not in his infant carrier seat, especially since he still fits in it comfortably and it just seems more snug...but if it means a more comfortable and happy Will, we are all for it. I don't have relux, but both my babies have had it...and I can tell how badly it hurts them from the screams we get. It's so sad! I am not 100% sold on this new transition though and if it doesn't seem to help Will in the car, we will be moving back. Carriers are just so much more convenient when getting out at places with a 3 month old!
Will is just a joy. He is our sunshine. He has changed our family in so many wonderful ways. We cannot imagine our life without him and are so thankful God blessed us with my "dream" life.
Oh...I almost forgot. 99% of the time, Will goes by "Pickle." Nonni started this nickname. It got on my nerves the first time I heard it, lol...but it stuck and we (both Cliff & I) call him that all the time now. We'll have to change that before highschool and the crude jokes begin! HA!
