Tonight at Cliff's parents house, Walker & Cliff had a little fun. They raced tractors! They had the best time. It was so funny to listen to Walker. He'd say "Go, Daddy, Go! I gonna win!" all in the same breath... What a sweet little one! The rode all over the yard, and around the house...

Ever since Judy taught Walker how to cut, he enjoys cutting things. We have to be careful, in fact, that the scissors are FAR out of his reach...and we've learned that what we think is out of his reach isn't always out of his reach! This particular day, he told me that he was making a card for Ava and Audrey. He loves those girls-and I mean, really...who can blame him? I love them too-and they are his best friends, by default!
One of Walker's favorite sayings right now is "We figured it out, right mommy?" or fill in the name of whoever he's addressing at the moment. He's always figuring something out!He has recently acquired a "grouchy" voice, for lack of a better way to put it. He talks really deep and makes the mean face of his younger years and just talks sometimes plain grouchy. His favorite things to say during these moments are "NO! I WILL NOT ....(whatever he is being told/asked to do..." Lovely. Hopefully this is a passing phase like many other "issues" we have had, have been. I never really had a smart-mouth with my parents growing up-it just wasn't "done", and I find myself appalled at school when students have smart-mouths with adults-so the LAST thing I envision for my child is him having a smart-mouth!
The other day on a walk through the neighborhood he said "I smell poo poo mommy! It stinks." and I said something like "No baby, it's those white trees called Bradford Pears. They stink when the flowers bloom..." and he said "Well, where did those trees poo poo at then mommy?" Gotta love the mind of a child. Just when I think he's pure genius, he reminds me he's just 2. :)
Last night at Grammie's, he asked if he could have a candy cane and I told him no. He whined to Grammie "mommy said I can not have one, Grammie..." and Grammie explained that she thinks it is because mommy doesn't want him to get sticky and he said "I will NOT get sticky, I can just hold it on the paper, ok?" Ha ha ha ha...
I had much more to post about tonight, but I had to stop writing for a while. Now I am just exhausted! So...to be continued!
