Just Like Baby Jesus

I think it's possible that Walker might be a preacher when he grows up. This may sound crazy, but I feel like already he loves Jesus so much.

Every single night at bedtime, he asks to read his Bible. We've actually gotten to the point where we have to limit it to 2 or 3 stories a night because he would read and listen all night long. He asks specifically for his Bible at bed-I want to read my Bible mommy and learn about Jesus. I never tire of hearing that...

Each night he wants to read the story about when Jesus was born in a manger (barn in our story). Then he always picks another random story to read based on the pictures. His other favorite is the "sneaky snake..." which is the story of the snake convincing Eve to eat the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.

Just yesterday morning, when I got him out of the shower, I wrapped him all up in his towel and held him like a newborn as I carried him to his room to get dressed and he looked up at me and said "Just like baby Jesus, right mommy?" (because he was all wrapped up like it shows baby Jesus in the picture...)
AHHHHHHH!

Oh, I'll admit-the picture above is totally posed. It was one of my attempts to get the perfect Christmas card picture, which I haven't gotten yet...and it's not him reading his Bible. But, it is a Christmas story book, so I thought it fitting for this post!
