Something new...EVERYDAY!

So, I've told you before about Walker getting a rice krispie treat from the pantry and going to his chair. Well today, Judy asked him if he was ready for a snack and he went to the pantry, got a rice krispie treat (I swear we don't have let him have these!!) and took it to his chair. She had to secretly replace it with one of his baby fruit bars...and again, he didn't know the difference. He may be smart but the adults are still in charge!

He got a new ball last night at Walmart...along with a dump truck and bulldozer. Boy toys. This is him "running" with his ball. Action shots are the best. :)

One of the very few pics we have together...not the greatest but it documents great moments. :)

Here he is putting his bear (one of many bears...) into the dump truck. We did this alot this afternoon. The cow went for a ride in the dump truck...so did the remote to the TV. After he got frustrated that it wouldn't turn the TV on after I turned it off.

So, this is today's biggest news. I went in the kitchen for a minute or two. Our living room and kitchen are open with only the fireplace separating them. Well, I hear a rattling of the doorknob and I knew it was too soon for Cliff to be home from practice, so I got scared. I ran into the living room (in "gotta protect my child from the intruder" mode) and THIS is what I find. It's important to note that the stroller was no where near the door when I left him. It was parked beside the couch because we'd just come inside. Guess someone wanted to go back outside. Who taught him this???

And this is how he entertained himself while I cooked dinner tonight. Great kid.

When we went outside today we decided to abandon the stroller for feet. How fun! Walker walked all over the yard. This was the first time he's walked in grass. He's crawled and sat in grass before but this was new. He had a blast and didn't want to come inside. He'd stop and look at his feet when he stepped on a new "feel" and would bend down to pick grass and back up again to walk some more. He never fell down, not once. He's gotten so great at walking...and now mastered uneven ground!
Lastly (for now) Judy told me that she said "it's time to change your diaper" and that he walked into his room, picked up a diaper and stood up at his changing table. This kid!

it only gets better! Nolan told me twice in one day last week "poo poo, poo poo" and pointed to his diaper. He's 17 months on the
17th of this month. a little early for potty training, but whatever, we'll try it! life gets so much easier when they can tell you what they want. But, I, like you miss the "baby" days. Maybe another one soon..........:)
