Word Wall

So, the teacher in me is overtaking my blog. I was wondering the other day how many words Walker said, so I compiled a list. Of course, I had to organize them by beginning sounds...which taught me that B and C are his dominant letters! These are his most consistently used words...

So...here's Walker's "Word Wall." (If you're a teacher, you get it)

This afternoon, Cliff beat me home. A rare treat for Walker. Walker brought Cliff his snack bowl that he'd used earlier in the day and threw it in his lap. He said "Bagawk!" which is his sound for chicken. (he ofter calls animals by their sound and not their name...) and so Cliff asked if he wanted some chicken. He said "yaa, yaa!" How's that for an afternoon snack? He ate all 4 nuggets...
Then a minute ago, when Cliff asked him what he wanted for dinner he said "bagawk," so Cliff's currently "frying" some chicken nuggets now since we ran out of the frozen kind. :) I wonder if feeding him chicken when he asks for "bagawk" reinforces the incorrect language???

On one of our tivoed episodes of Yo Gabba, Gabba there is a big rapper dude. He basically "spits" into the microphone...I think it's called beat boxen?? Anyway, the past few days Walker's been imitating it. Goofy kid.

He's doing ALOT better at church these days. He's so used to Ms. Cynthia & Deanna in Sunday School that he doesn't even cry anymore...but he doesn't like Wednesday night & Sunday night church so much. He also still isn't really sure how he feels about going to visit places that he isn't used to...but, we can tell he's making progress. In the meantime, we'll just enjoy the extra tight snuggles we get from him on those occasions. :)

Sleep is still a battle, going on two weeks now. We have chalked this up to the change in his nap schedule. He's dropped his afternoon nap and is waking at night. It started at the same time. Hopefully, he'll pass through this stage quickly. But, in the meantime I'll just enjoy the middle of the night snuggle time.

Cliff's about to start his last semester of graduate school. We are so excited that he's on the brink of having his Master's degree...though I know from experience, the pay raise isn't all it's cracked up to be!
Not much new to report in my life. I get to visit with Jenny & Ashley tomorrow night and I can hardly wait. To see Ashley twice in just a few weeks is a real treat since she lives so far from us! Walker will get to play with Audrey and Ava. He loves playing with Ava in his own house...we'll see how he does at Ava's house. I'm up for anything...nothing will surprise me.

Well, it's back to Gabba Gabba land I go...we have to do dancy dance together and that's a little difficult with a computer sitting in my lap.
