Scooch, scooch, scooch...

Christmas has come and gone...another year is passing. I cannot believe how quickly time flies now that we are older. We had a nice Christmas this year. Having Walker definitely added to the fun. On Christmas Eve, we went to the service at our church. Walker did so good and didn't make a peep! It was nice to sit and worship. Typically Cliff and I have responsibilities during church...he normally plays the guitar and I sometimes run the slides. My dad and Kathy came with us because Dad wasn't having a service at his church. So the whole family was together. Then we went to Aunt D's and had a big dinner. Afterwards we went back to Dad's and opened gifts with that side of my family. We had so much fun doing Santa for Walker and watching him on Christmas morning as he discovered all his new toys. He was so excited and kicked and smiled, like always. We then went to Cliff's family for our annual Christmas breakfast and to do presents with them. Then we headed to Mamaw's for lunch. Walker and I took a short nap and then my mom's family came down for Christmas dinner at our house. Cliff cooked a very yummy supper and we had a nice time. That evening, Cliff's dad had to go to the hospital and spent quite a few days in the ICU. He's now in a regular room and doing MUCH better. We praise God for answered prayers! The past few days have been spent in a blur attending to family needs and now things are slowing down. We've missed Walker so much. We spent our first night away from him the night Mr. Billy went in the hospital and then spent the next two away from him as well. It was terribly difficult but at least I know I can survive it now. We did come home during the day to visit and spend time with our sweet boy.

Walker is just the biggest joy as always. I am constantly amazed at the things he is learning and how he learns. It never ceases to amaze me. I fear I've become one of those moms who has to take pictures, video and document everything but I am still just so new at this and Cliff and I have had the best time together on this journey. Last night, my mom, CLiff and I were in the living room playing with Walker and his toys. Cliff had "Lilly" this toy frog that counts and Walker was on his belly. He pulled his knees up under him and scooched forward 3 times! We were amazed. I haven't been reading much lately, but I don't think it's quite time for that yet. He seems to do alot of the physical things early. He was scooching again today. Not sure I'm ready for this!!

I'm pretty sure he's beginning to teeth. He is constantly drooling and puts everything he gets his hands on into his mouth. He has also started doing raspberries with his mouth. We don't really do this so I am not sure where he's picked it up from. But, it's cute regardless...
He thinks it is so funny when he does it too...and of course, so do we.

He's been sleeping through the night from about 9:00 pm until between 8:00 am and 9:00 am every night for over a week now. This has been NICE. We hope it continues! I think we will try and move him to his crib soon since he's doing so well. He's currently still in his pack-n-play right beside my side of the bed. I like him there. :)

Cliff and I are planning our first post-baby get away for this summer. We want to go on a cruise. We are excited and using it as motivation to help us both get back into shape!

God has continued to bless our family through this year...He is so faithful to us and we are so thankful that we know Him as our Savior. We know that 2008 will bring many more blessings. Happy New Year!
