Wow, how the time has flown! I cannot believe that on Christmas Eve Walker will be 3 months old..
We had his 3 month pictures made the other day and they turned out great! I didn't expect them to be as good as they are. I feel like I can never capture his adorable smile and all his cute little faces on my camera. I have yet to take a picture that I feel like truly exhibits his fun-loving personality, but these pictures surely did. The lady at Picture People was GREAT! They were supposed to email me the proofs but I don't have them yet so I am scanning in a few of the ones we got. If we do get the email with the proofs, I'll be sure to post the link here so you can see the rest of them.

These days Walker is showing such strong personality and I can tell that he is alot like his Dad. Already we can tell he appreciates the fun things in life and is very laid back. He is very even tempered...a trait he definitely got from his Dad and just loves to smile and talk to anyone that will show him attention. He is very active physically. He is constantly kicking his legs and flapping his arms. He loves to take in his surroundings and will get so excited about what he sees that he will kick, kick, kick. He's constantly grabbing on to his toys now. He rarely misses these days! He's started a new thing where he holds his arms out in front of him and then brings them together so he is holding hands with him self...the way you hold hands on a date, fingers intertwined. :) (I think that's a word...)
Christmas is almost here and I can't believe another year has gone by. This time last year Walker was merely a prayer being whispered and Cliff and I are so thankful this Christmas season for our boy. We have a stronger and new appreciation for God's gift of his Son here at Christmas because now we have our own son and I honestly don't think I could ever give him up.
Something else that we are thankful for is God's timing. When we lost our first baby it was the most horrible thing either of us had ever experienced. We will never be glad we lost that baby but we recognize that God's hand was in that situation long before we ever knew it would occur. Had the events not played out the way they did, we would not have Walker and for that we can honestly give God all the glory. We praise God for the opportunities He has provided us to reach out to others that go through similar circumstances.
The gifts are all almost wrapped and under the tree! What an exciting time. I had to force myself to put several toys back on the shelf, as Walker does not know the difference. We got him a few things, but nothing extravagant this year. What we did get is more for the pleasure it will bring me and for picture opportunities, of course. :)
We are excited about the holidays and the new year. God only knows what it will bring but we can rest in the assurance that He will bring it with love and compassion.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
