Our first shower was wonderful. Cliff's dad's side of the family is so generous and we had a great time. We enjoyed opening and receiving all the presents but we also really enjoyed just being with family. We had a great meal and then opened gifts. Later, we sung a few hymns which is a Roberts' family tradition. The last line of Because He Lives is an incredible line that I'd never really paid attention to before.
How sweet to hold a newborn baby, And feel the pride and joy he gives; But greater still the calm assurance: This child can face uncertain days because He (Jesus) Lives!
