Cliff has been hard at work in the nursery as you can tell from the pictures! On Monday night while I was at Bible study, he and Bryan painted the blue and green. We (he) still has to put the yard lines on the green and make the R that will rest at the 50 yard line but we are waiting until we have the furniture to know what's not going to be covered before he does that. I'm excited at how good it's looking! Tuesday we had an ultrasound and he took the rest of the day off and came home to work on the room. He cut the chair railing and got it painted and we hung it once I got home. There are a few minor places that need touch-ups and he's going to do another coating of green on the bottom but all in all it's looking great so far! I'm so excited to be getting stuff done. It's so fun to watch Cliff and see how important this is to him and how much fun he's having with it!
Our ultrasound went well. Everything looked like it was supposed to...kidneys, bladder, spine, etc...looks like we have a healthy baby boy! He was measuring right on time at 18 weeks and 4 days on Tuesday and I was amazed to find out just how much room he was taking up in my stomach! I still imagined him being tiny and being very low but little did I know his little feet are above my belly button and his head is down below. He's taking up all the room he can at this point, all stretched out! His feet are up against my placenta so it may be a little longer before I feel any strong kicks up there. It's cushioning the kicks at this point. I tried to post it by this paragraph but it never turns out like I want it to, so you can see it up top...
