We have made it past the halfway point. I cannot believe that in 20 weeks (or less) Walker will be here with us! We've been busy preparing for him the past few weeks. Friday night we registered for our showers. We found out we are having a shower on June 9 and figured we better decide what we wanted! We are very excited to have our first shower scheduled but it seems a little surreal. Each new thing that happens makes this feel a little more real.
What an overwhelming task it was to register! We literally had no idea what we were doing. Thank God for the new parents checklist that Babies-R-Us gives you and the wonderful friends I have that provide great advice. Otherwise, I bet we'd still be wandering around that store wondering what in the world we were to pick! Target was a little easier once we got there b/c we had the hang of it by then...
In other exciting news, we've ordered the bumper for Walker's bed. Still no bed yet though. :) That comes soon! We are so excited to get his room in order now that it's painted and the new carpet is down.
I had my 20 week check-up yesterday and I'm doing well on my weight gain. My blood pressure was much better than last time as well, so things are going good. Walker was bouncing around so much that Patti had a hard time getting his heart rate. We'd hear it for a minute and then a swish, swish, swish. That's the noise the doppler makes when he moves. She said I was really in for it since he's moving this much already. I think he's been pretty active from the beginning. I'm starting to feel him more frequently now. Cliff still can't feel him but we know that will come soon. I think I am really only feeling the heavier kicks and punches b/c I didn't feel him moving yesterday at the doctor when he was rolling around so much. I definitely feel him though. He has his days and nights mixed up right now. Hopefully we will get that under control before he's born... :)
I go back in 4 weeks and then it's off to the beach for our "babymoon." I can hardly wait!
