Our little gummy bear...

Well, I know the picture isn't straight but it will have to do. :) Just wanted to introduce everyone to our little gummy bear. I am sure this baby will be so happy when we have a real name for it! It's had so many...Bubba, Bean bean, the list goes on and on...
We had a great weekend! We spent it with our friends Josh and Beth and their son Layne. Cliff and I were around for their entire pregnancy and the welcoming home of little Layne, then his adjustment into the world until Josh and Beth moved away so it's such an emotional thing to see him as a little 1 year old who is walking now! That baby...I mean, that little boy is adorable. I am so thankful for the days that I had with him when he was a newborn, just laying on my shoulder sleeping while mommy did work around the house. What a precious time. I can remember holding him and thinking about how I longed for those moments with a child of my own but that until I had one, he'd do. He is a precious, precious child. Josh and Beth gave us a gift-evidently the worlds best video. I think we'll watch it before the baby gets here. :) It's so fun to add to our pile and the neatest thing to me are the stories behind the gifts we are getting-normally someone's child's favorite thing is what they've given us...so baby will have little contributions from each of his/her friends.
Cliff and I still cannot agree on a boy name. Every name I suggest, he says "no" to but then when I ask him what name he likes he can't think of one. Guess this means he's ok with having a girl! We aren't set in stone on our girl name because it's so early, but we really LOVE the name Kendal Elizabeth. We aren't calling the baby anything official until we know what we're having and definitely decide on a name that we won't change our mind about. My gut tells me if it's a girl we'll stick with Kendal Elizabeth.
Cliff's mom and Aunt Christie went shopping this weekend and got me three very cute maternity clothes. I was so excited! Have you noticed this trend of me getting extremely excited each time I find something else I can wear? Everything just fits so awkward right now.
I always think of things to include in my blog and then when I'm typing it, can't actually remember. This is happening now. Jenny used to always tell me about "pregnancy brain" and I am assuring each of you that I already have it, will continue to have it and will milk if for all it's worth! Everything fits my "I'm pregnant" explanation...for example the two pizzas that I ordered from Papa John's tonight for dinner without consulting Cliff even though we just had pizza last night in Hiawassee and the fact that my slew of pillows takes up the entire bed and Cliff is learning to sleep on the edges. We can't forget that every little snappy moment I have is now attributed to the pregnancy and pretty much just any other thing I want to go my way comes with a reminder that I am the one carrying the baby. Oh, what a patient husband I have!
Oh, one last thing! Cliff went shopping with his mom the other day and she bought diapers. He inquired who they were for and she said us! I think she's buying a pack every week...what a wonderful help! Hooray! That's all for now...my new Beth Moore Bible study is calling my name. I'm learning about the book of Daniel...off to my little nook to spend time with my precious Lord.
