Well, we survived the first visit. I actually got to go pretty early. I am 4 weeks and 6 days today. Tomorrow we will have reached the 5 week milestone! They confirmed that I am indeed pregnant. I had this crazy fear that I would get there and they would tell me that the 6 tests we took (yes, I've taken more since my last post...) were all wrong. But, thankfully HPT's can be trusted! (that's home pregnancy tests, for those of you not obsessed with babycenter.com) They answered all the questions I had, including whether or not we could still go on our "last hoo-rah" cruise and the answer to that was YES! My mom and Kathy went with me to this appointment because I knew I wasn't having an ultrasound and so I encouraged Cliff to stay at work and not take off after missing his surgery days. He will come to the ultrasound with me on September 13. They did my bloodwork and everything else they do...and then I was on my way home. Oh, and I am 4 weeks and 6 days today, so tomorrow (Thursday) will be 5 weeks. My due date at this point is April 26. I am so excited about the ultrasound and I know these next three weeks will just drag by! On the way home I called Jenny and Tracy and they told me all sorts of exciting things to look forward to on future visits! Oh...and more good news is that I can continue to take my Disney Princess vitamins that Jenny helped me pick out instead of the horse pills they like to prescribe you. I took one look at the sample they gave me and whipped my bottle out of my purse. She gave it the once over and told me it was fine to use. :) My sister in law (Christie) called today and she has bought the baby a Christmas onesie. I cannot wait to see it! She got 12 months, because the baby will be about 8 months then.
Well, I don't feel like this is much of an update...but it's big news in our world! Thank you to all of you who have been praying for our little one. Please continue to do so.
