5 weeks!

Today we are 5 weeks along. According to an email update that I get each week, the baby is about the size of a sesame seed right now and looks more like a tadpole than a human. This is the week that baby's heart starts to divide into chambers and beat and pump blood. Isn't that amazing? I am so intrigued by everything that I read and everything we are learning. Last night, Cliff and I looked through a booklet I got when I went to the doctor that showed the stages of the baby's development. We are still in shock and keep saying to one another "we're having a baby..." or "there's a baby with us now..." and tonight Cliff said "never again will we be alone..." HA HA. Reality is beginning to set in and we are loving the thought of our new way of life. Mrs. Carolyn (Cliff's mom) called last night to check in and asked what we thought we would do in the nursery. I have no idea! I think I may want green walls and that way we could go either blue or pink. There's so much to think about. Right now, Cliff is looking through a baby name book. I went from A-L and highlighted boy names I like and now he's doing the same. We have a few girl names we've liked for a while, but boy names have been harder. Since he's determined we are having a boy-the pressure is on to find the perfect name. :)
Aunt Christie and Mrs. Carolyn (grandparent name still to be determined) are referring to the baby as "Bubba." This started because in all of her excitement the day she found out, Aunt Christie started calling it "Bubba's baby" and now it's been shortened to "Bubba." Cliff's dad is worried it will stick, but don't worry I won't let it. It's cute while in my belly though! Wow-it's really in my belly! The two of them are already planning the nurseries they will have in their own home. This baby will have about 5 nurseries b/w all of our families. It will be so blessed to be loved by so many wonderful people!
Weird things are starting to happen, some of which I won't post on here. But for one-my hair fell out in globs in the shower this morning. Also, I have a peculiar taste in my mouth. I've been feeling a little queasy, but morning sickness has not set in. I pray it does not!
I am going to have to reschedule my ultrasound because I scheduled it for a day that Cliff has a football game. He can miss practice to come see the baby, but we can't have him missing a game seeing as he's a coach. I will update you all on when it will be.
The latest obstacle in my own life is trying to help Ashley find a dress that I will be able to fit into when I am 8 months pregnant in her wedding! Anyone have any ideas, send them our way. We've found a few that are cute...but how do you know if they will actually fit at 8 months when you have to order them so far ahead of time??
Well, that's about all we have right now. Please continue to pray for baby and her/his development.
