15 month check-up

We had Will's 15 month check up today.  That means 3 shots!  Bless him.  He was a trooper though.
He wasn't so sure about the nurse who led us back.  She wanted to get his O2 levels, measure his head, length, weight, etc...  He didn't like all those shananigans and he wasn't afraid to show it, screaming each time she dared to touch him.  I thought we were really in for it. But when Joy came in, Will was all smiles and quite the little flirt.  He was blowing Joy kisses and showing off all his mad skills for her.  He even let her hear him say a few of his favorite words.  :)  (Eat, Nack (snack), ray-en (raisin), Mama, bye bye and dane doo (thank you), which he actually said when she handed him a tongue depressor and she UNDERSTOOD!!  :)

Will measured up in about the same percentiles as he has been at his other appointments.  Long and lean.  In about the 25th percentile in weight and around 78th for height.  The lower percentile in weight still just floors me, and everyone who is ever around Will.  The kids eats all day long.  That's no exaggeration.  He is truly a grazer.  But, he is also a hurricane.  A very powerful one.  And I am pretty sure he burns off every last bite he eats within the hour!   I don't remember his exact measurements because I didn't get a sticker this time.  (sniff, sniff...I love those things!)  He was 22 and 3/4 lbs though and I think 32 inches.  Maybe.  His head continues to measure in the 75th percentile, and each time I am told this I just find it so humerous considering all we went through with that during my pregnancy with Will.

This is what Will had to say about getting shots today:

He did cry for his shots.  A LOT.  In fact, he started crying as soon as I laid him on the table, as if he knew what was coming.  Bless his little perfectly precious heart.  He was fine soon after though and we were greeted with a great surprise.  Nonni and Walker met us at the dr office and were waiting in the lobby.  So, we all went to eat and play at the new McD's playplace that Walker's been dying to go to.  So fun!  Poor Walker, when we came out I could see the expression of doom all over his face.  He had requested to not go to the dr appointment with me because as he put it, just couldn't stand to see Will get hurt.  (sweet, sweet brother.)  Since Cliff had to work today, Nonni came to stay with Walker during the appointment and spend some time with both boys afterwards.   But, unfortunately Will is so skilled in screaming extremely loudly during his shots and Nonni and Walker heard him in the lobby. By the time he saw them though, he was all smiles and we had a great afternoon!
