This post might be the one that has the most pictures of all the ones I have ever posted. I am SO far behind! In an attempt to just catch up, I am combining Wills 11 month update with some other random things. I still have to do our Christmas post!!
Bath time is one of my favorite times of the day. The boys too. They have a blast...and no, they didn't pee in this water-it's a color tablet. :)
Will loves to play in the Monster Jam tent. It's one of his most favorite things to do at this stage of his life. He tumbles and tramples in it...gets all wrapped up...
This is a typical bath time. One climbing all over the other. Most nights, Walker will line all the figurines and trucks on the edge of the tub, and Will will inevitably knock them down. Then a real battle ensues. :)
If Will can get in it, or on it for that matter, it becomes a toy. He loves playing in boxes, baskets, drawers, etc. He also really enjoys flipping things like this over and pushing them around the house. He often gets our shelf baskets and flips and pushes them around, because he can do it standing up.
He also loves his walk-n-push toys, though he doesn't need them, because he is a fully functionable walker now. :) He walks all over the place. He's maybe been walking a month or so, but has recently chosen it as his main mode of "transportation..." Until the past week or two, he'd prefer crawling still, about 50% of the time.
One of Will's other favorite activities, is to go into his brother's room, and pull out ALL the clothes in the bottom three drawers. He doesn't do this in his own room. To me, that's just funny. This is also a great time to mention what a wonderful little helper Walker is. He has really gotten good at throwing his dirty clothes in his hamper, putting his shoes in his basket and putting his toys away in their appropriate bins. He's so good at putting his clothes in the hamper in fact, that recently when he spent the night with Aunt Christie and Uncle Marshall, he threw his clothes in their "bathroom hamper..." which really turned out to be a wicker trashcan. HA!
After Will gets bored with the drawers, he usually wanders over to the dirty clothes hamper and tips it over, so that he can pull all those clothes out too. This particular day, most of Walker's wardrobe was in the washer, so Will was less then entertained!
Will has embraced patty cake and just clapping his hands in general. Mrs.Cristy taught him patty cake, and he will play with anyone who looks his direction. He also likes to clap his hands to the music.
My boys love to wrestle! If you lay on our floor, you are fair game for tackling. They come after you like a buzzard after roadkill. Yep, I said that.
Every now and then, Will takes a bath alone. He gets clear baths on those nights. :) When Walker isn't there to entertain him, he likes to kick his toys, take a wash cloth in each hand and sling them up and down in and out of the water, and just splash in general. He likes me to sing Splish, Splash I was Taking a Bath while he splashes. That's just funny to him.
Will wants to push anything with wheels. Or without. He loves to push the wheelbarrow around the house too.
These next two pics were taken to show his curls.
Aren't they adorable?
Will is full of laughter. Someone recently called his happiness, "infectious"...and I LOVE that.
He likes to ride on his construction vehicle and has learned to push himself with his feet!
He also likes to play peek-a-boo. He will play in the tent, with a diaper, using his hands, a napkin in a restaurant, a spare shirt...whatever he can find. He's so cute.
We have enjoyed the warmer winter, and often find ourselves outside in the afternoons, playing the day away.
Will played on the trampoline for the first time this month. Since ours has a net, he just crawled all over and laughed at Walker bouncing him.
He kept trying to stand up, but as soon as he'd get there, his socks would slip on the bouncing net and down he would go.
He still gets overly excited at the sight of leaves...
...loves playing with anything that resembles a vehicle.
Will also took a ride in the cozy coupe this past week for the first time. He loved it!
Then Walker decided he needed a turn, because of course all the baby toys become exciting again when little brother is using them. :)
Will likes to kick his feet up when we are in a restaurant, and enjoy himself. He often slouches down and reclines in his high chair. When he isn't eating, that is. He is eating us out of house and home. People get a kick out of how aggressive he is about food. He isn't, however, yelling at us during meal times anymore, and for that we are thankful. He does want to eat all day long, every single minute, every single second. He has fourth meal. And fifth. And sixth. You get the point. He is a VERY well behaved baby in restaurants because he sits so still and eats the ENTIRE time. Sometimes we (and the babysitters) just have to cut him off and decide when he's finished, because he never will. He has had everything you can imagine. He likes it all. The only thing he doesn't like is ice dream at CFA. Insane.
He has five teeth now. Three on top and two on bottom. He has another coming in on the top. He still smiles a good bit of the time. He is just SUCH a happy baby.
His night wakings ended several weeks back, thank the Lord. I was NOT a fan of that stage-especially when we reached 5-7 times a night. I was a zombie. Miserable, and miserable to be around. He's back to sleeping through the night again, like normal. We are both SO glad.
Will learned to shake his head no this month. I don't know if he necessarily knows it means no. I think he just likes the way it feels. He does it a lot.
Will likes to point at things he wants us to see, and if he ask him where something is (like the light, the deer, the fan, etc) he will often point to it for us. He always looks at his pointer finger and then at the object. He thinks he is talking, but he isn't. Maybe he is, but we can't understand! He says mama, dada, doutdide (outside), and baba. That's about it. He sure makes a lot of noise though!
He is also our little resident tazmanian devil. We've actually put locks on some cabinets. Something we never did with Walker. Will goes to, empties without so much as paying attention to what he's grabbing, and then moves on to the next cabinet. Then to the shelf, then the dresser, oh my. The kid can tear apart a room like nothing I have ever seen. Especially now that he's walking.
Will is also somewhat "aggressive." He hits and bites. Yep. He does. He thinks it's funny to do both. For now, I guess it is. We'll pray it's a passing phase, devoted to learning and understanding how things operate. I do so very much hope he doesn't continue to slap in the face, cute girls who like to kiss and hug on him. :)
This has been mostly about Will. Updates on Walker to come!
