Walker wanted to paint a picture for Nonni as part of her birthday present. So, we bought a canvas and I suggested a pretty flower. He got to work. I couldn't make heads or tails out of what he was painting. This isn't unusual. He isn't overly interested in drawing or art, and does very little of it. So, he hasn't had a lot of practice. I was sitting right beside him, and Cliff was across the table. Right before he added the red eyes to the picture, Cliff motioned for me to come to his side. He whispered, "Do you see what he is doing? He is painting her, and he's doing it upside down..." Right then, he dotted the two red eyes and added "eye hairs" over them, as he called them. Then flipped it and proclaimed it finished.
He did the entire thing upside down! The legs, which appear to be riding a snow board or something, were closest to him, which means every single detail he put into it, including arms wrapped around her body and "eye hairs" were done upside down, but they wound up right side up in reality.
I am really impressed with his perception!
Here's Nonni...
PS-i am REALLY behind on blogging and plan to catch up soon. I hope. Tonight we have our annual Super Bowl party though, so I must continue to get ready for that!
PSS-how awesome is my husband for the post he made? It made my day!! :) ...and don't tell him, but I think I am REALLY the blessed one.
