Will's 5 (almost 6) month update!

Will is 5 (almost 6) months old! He has changed alot in his 5th (almost 6th) month of life. He is such a joy. He continues to just add love and laughter to our family every day.

He (almost) never stays in his tub. We have tried (almost) everything we can think of. We have gone from baby tub to duck tub, to big boy tub on the ramp you see on the right side of this pic, to big boy tub with me holding him up (that's hard, he is slippery!) and tonight we tried this... He started out like this...

...and within seconds had flipped and was climbing out. Yes, he made it all the way out. He loves his bath...but he also loves to MOVE!
He also loves his brother. Will adores Walker. Walker seems to be his most favorite person in the world. It (almost) never matters what Walker is doing, Will is laughing...I mean, cracking UP, at him. The exception would be the time that Walker kicked a soccer ball across the livingroom straight into Will's face, and then also the time when Walker hit Will in the face with the training wheel from his bike. No (almost) there. That really happened! Walker can calm Will in a way that no one else can. Will (almost) never gets upset, still. But, because he's the worst teether in the world, we've had a few rough nights. If I take him and lay him beside Walker he (almost) always calms down immediately. I love it. SUCH a neat relationship.

Will loves to be outside. We go outside (almost) every evening for at least an hour. We sometimes take blankets, and other times Will sits in his stroller. He loves taking in the sights. That's (almost) the only place he will sit still anymore. Remember the baby who would just sit back and take it all in? Those days are (almost) completely gone. Will is on the move! He has crawled, though he isn't crawling. He can't remember how to do it, but he's SO close. He can move one leg forward, then the other, one arm and then fall. Then he gets up and does it again. So, he's getting where he wants to go, he just face plants a few times along the way. It won't be long now! Especially since he's (almost) a crawler, according to his Daddy who witnessed a "real" crawl this past weekend.

Will can (almost) say hey. He tries hard and sometimes I hear "heh"...so cute. :) Sometimes he just moves his mouth in the motion, but nothing comes out.

In his fifth (almost 6th) month, Will has also tried lots of new foods. He has had cereal, cereal with apples, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, and apples. He likes (almost) all of them once he gets used to them, but carrots were an immediate favorite. Will is (almost) never satisifed with just his bottle anymore. He is extremely interested in our food and will get a little fiesty trying to convince us that we should share. We don't (almost) every time. I might have given him a tiny taste of my mashed potatoes one night. I'll never tell. :)

Will likes to be held (almost) all the time. He enjoys playing with toys and moving all over the livingroom floor...but he (almost) always prefers to have our undivided attention. This is a big change from even just a month or so ago. I (almost) always give it to him. :)

He loves his jumperoo and exersaucer now. He also has a few favorite toys. He's interested in TV these days as well, and cracks up at Tom & Jerry when Tom gets hurt. It never fails, and it's really quite funny when he does it. (not that he watches that much tv.) In fact, he (almost) never does. :)

He still sleeps all night, which is (almost) my favorite thing about having a baby. Lol, just kidding! But, I do love that BOTH my boys have been all night sleepers for a majority of their precious little nights. I (almost) can't function otherwise.

Will still smiles (almost) all the time. He'd reached a point in his 4th month, where he wasn't smiling as much...but the (almost) constant smile has returned.
He's also extremely ticklish around his cheeks and will laugh hysterically when I rub lotion on his face.

He looks (almost) EXACTLY like his daddy. Not sure how/when that happened since he was born looking like his mama...but no complaints here. His daddy is one GOOD LOOKIN' man!
