2 week stats

Here is our sweet Will at 2 weeks. He is nearing the 3 week mark now, but we went last Tuesday for his 2 week check. He had gained 12.5 oz in a week which is excellent weight gain. He was back up to (and beyond) his birth weight. He weighed 7 lbs 5.5 oz and was 21.5 inches long. He was very awake and alert during his doc appointment last week. Alertness is something that Will came by slowly. I've said since the minute he was born that I could tell he was born "younger" than Walker and was technically still "supposed" to be growing in my tummy. But, at this point he seems to have really adapted to life on the outside. He enjoys a few hours of awake time each day and you can really tell when he's processing information from his environment. Our ped commented on how noticable it was when he was processing information, which I thought was cool. Mainly b/c I thought that's what was going on, but wasn't sure and she confirmed that I DO know some things. :)

During Will's second week his cord stump fell off and he got his first real bath in a baby tub. He hated it!

I think maybe he would have enjoyed it a little more if I'd made the water a little warmer. We'll see next time.

He also moved to a strictly formula diet. I'll spare you all the boring details of that transition, I just want to have it documented for myself.

He also had his first tummy time during his second week. He and Walker both really enjoyed this time. Walker would get on one side and call his name. He'd flip his head to that side to find his brother, and then Walker would move to the other side and do the same thing. They did this about 4 or 5 times before Will decided that laying down was more fun than being active. :)

He's sleeping really well at night...he wakes up eat every 2.5 to 3 hours...and sometimes may go a tiny bit longer. He normally goes right back to sleep. Sometimes he wants to entertain me with his cuteness for a few minutes before falling back asleep, but I never mind!
