What I'm Thankful For...

...in no particular order...

  • My salvation through Jesus Christ...the restoration and redemption He's brought to my life...and knowing that He is always there for me...
  • My incredible husband/best friend...God has blessed me with an amazing man to share my life with-I am so thankful for the "friendship" that we share within our marriage and that I am still completely in love with him.
  • Our adorable, smart, loving and extremely entertaining son, Walker. He absolutely has my heart.
  • Our second son Will, who I always dreamed of completing our family with. I am truly "living my childhood dream..." with my boys. We cannot wait to meet him!
  • My 4 parents who have all worked together in an extremely cooperative way to raise me and grow me into who I am today. (though at times I am sure they wonder what happened??? lol)
  • Lifelong and longtime friendships-I am incredibly blessed, though I may not see and talk to some of my close friends nearly as much as I would like, God has blessed me immensely and I am so very thankful.
  • For an unexpected "couple" friendship that God has clearly orchestrated...HE is so good and knows just what we need, even when we don't know we've been missing anything! Some things just fall into place and change your life in so many ways...this is one of those things and I praise God for it.
  • For cousins that I am close to...not everyone grows up being close to their cousins and remains that way into adulthood, but I have 3 very special cousins (and one very special cousin in law) that help to keep my world spinning.
  • For inlaws that are truly my family...that consider me truly their family...who can handle my weaknesses and love me through them. They are amazing.
  • For our church family. We had no clue what God was doing several months back when we felt the call to move. But He has blessed us so for our obedience. The reasons (at least some of them, some we may not know yet) are so very clear now as to the purposes He had behind this.
  • My job...that most of the time, I love...though I wish I didn't have to work everyday, I am very thankful that I have a job that I enjoy, that gives me the flexibility to make sure family stays first and that is extremely rewarding.
  • That my child knows I love him. It's so obvious that he finds complete comfort in his Mommy...and I am thankful to be that for him.
  • My blog. Yes, that may seem silly but my own words have been a blessing to my life in so many ways. There's so much about Walker's early days and even my days of healing from my miscarriage that I had forgotten. I never want to forget the special moments in his life or what God has done in my life. That's the purpose of this blog and I hope I always have the energy and time to keep it up.
  • Our home...though it feels small and cluttered at the moment...God has given us a wonderful place to live. We have all we need and for that, I am thankful.
  • Memories of Thanksgivings past with my Grandmommy and Grandaddy. They haven't been with us for several years, but their traditions have lived on. I am so thankful for the time we had with them.
  • Walker's relationships with all his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. He is truly one loved kid and the center of many people's worlds. I am thankful for the special relationships he shares with each of them.
  • That I am done with Walker's Christmas shopping. (what?? I really am thankful for this!)
  • For my 4 brothers who "taught" me how to survive in a house full of boys...who knew I'd really need those skills one day??
  • And finally, sleep...where I am headed now. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!
