I love seeing my husband's Science mind at work. :) Today, he worked on building a rocket launcher because Walker wanted to launch rockets. (and because he can totally use this in his classroom in the fall!) But...mostly because Walker wanted to launch rockets. :) It was almost perfect...the pressure had to be adjusted a little, and there are a few kinks to work out but overall it was a very fun afternoon! Walker especially loved it. We had lots of fun launching and relaunching (is that a word?) the rocket!

Walker got to pull the string when Daddy built up enough pressure...it worked several times until Daddy adjusted the pressure to make it almost perfect and then it was too difficult for Walker to pull the string on his own, as you'll see in the video below.

He had so much fun!!!

He also enjoyed getting to refill the rocket with water between each launch. Here he is bringing it back to Daddy.

He even got to play with the air pump a bit while Daddy set things up for the next launch...

And finally, here's a video. I totally lost the rocket as it sailed over the house and into the backyard...but I think if you look closely as the video ends, you can see it freeze in the air over the house. :)
Just another example of what a wonderful father my Cliffy is!! :)
Sidenote: Today Walker asked me to play Duck, Duck, Goose. I told him we only had two of us, so Pablo would have to play. He looked at me like I was crazy (and like he was 13) and said "Mommy...Pablo CAN'T play..." When I asked why, he held him up in the air and said "Well, because he doesn't have real feet. See, your feet are real (and he touched them), my feet are real, but Pablo doesn't have real feet." I guess he's right. Pablo cannot play Duck, Duck, Goose!

Looks like you guys have had a great summer. Walker reminds me a lot of Harding right now. They would probably get into a lot of mischief together. :) -Tiffany
