Since We've Been Gone...

I started trying to update the other night and load a video. While I waited on the video to load, that never did load, my update got longer and longer. Wordier and wordier. I ramble too much. Anyway, I decided to start over and just give short sentences and more pics. I wish the video would load. There were two actually. A really cute one of him eating at his toddler table with Daddy and using a BIG boy spoon like Daddy rather than his little spoon...it was funny b/c of how large his mouth had to open. And the second of him playing golf with Daddy and his new clubs. Oh well, maybe one day...

Walker & Carlie had a great time at Lillie's birthday party last Sunday. Walker decided Carlie needed a little help in the car and climbed in with her. Good thing she's patient with him!

Here are the pictures of the video I wanted to upload. Look at that big mouth! This was the first night I got the stomach bug and Cliff got dinner in town (ha ha, Jen) for he and Cliff. Walker had the Snack Attack from Quick Chick and ate almost every bit of it. He's eating mashed potatoes in these two pics. :) (He thought he was something else getting to eat like that with Daddy!)

Here we are waiting on the circus to start. We had a mini-getaway to Atlanta for our anniversary. The getaway was nice. The circus wasn't all I remembered it to be. We'll definitely pass until it's time to take Walker!

He loves for me to set the self-timer and for us to say "Cheese" together. So, we do this ALOT. This was right after we got home from our getaway. (and I have on no makeup)

He's learned how to take pics with our digital camera...though we only let him if supervised. Here's a silly one he took of his Daddy. I'm impressed he actually has the entire body in this one!

I caught him "lounging" in front of the TV the other day laughing at Yo Gabba Gabba. Just thought it was cute. :)

Just being silly, here.

He loves his new golf clubs. I so wish the video would load. I'll keep trying!

Just trying to put his shoes on. He can get his tennis shoes on (not tied) but these are more difficult. They are even hard for me to get on him!

Just a funny picture he took of himself. Notice the dirt on his chin from playing outside. :)

And I took this one, but he was running. This is what happens when Walker gets to color. He begs and begs, so I give in from time to time, but this never fails.

This looks oddly familiary...guess he's pretending he is driving a golfcart, like Daddy. That's actually one of Daddy's clubs and not Walker's!

And one of his new favorite games is to unload the dresser. He only gets to play it because he also loads it back up! He unloads the bottom drawer and then stands in it. (actually he doesn't normally get to do that part...)

And this is how I knew he was ready for nap #2 today, which he's gone back to. One nap a day only lasted a short while...nothing's ever concrete in this house!

Another newer thing is that he likes to stand on the counter and pick out his snack from his cabinet. He has a specific cabinet, mainly for the purpose of Judy not having to search the house over, that holds all sorts of snacks, etc that he can have at any given time. It also keeps his veggies, etc separate from ours and easier to find. He normally winds up with peanut butter and crackers...which pronounced something like this "peut buuer ca-ers."

His appetite is definitely back! Today alone he's had:
Breakfast:
2 Gerber breakfast bars
1 Apple Cinnamon muffin

Snack:
Apple Cinnamon Muffin

Lunch:
Chicken Nuggets
French Fries

Snack:
Apple Cinnamon Muffin

And, it's only 4:30. And yes, that makes 3 Apple Cinnamon muffins in one day! For a few weeks he's hardly eaten anything at all, so I am glad to see him making up for lost times. I definitely think he'll put his lost weight back on soon!

Sunday morning before church, I was feeding him breakfast...or trying to, anyway. I tried grits (normally a favorite) and breakfast bars but he begged and begged for pizza. We had it the night before and I guess he knew there was more left. So, with hopes of FINALLY getting to church, I gave in and warmed up pizza. He ate every last bit of it. This child loves pizza & chicken nuggets more than anything. I guess most kids do, though...

We are finally all well. After strep and stomach bugs, I think our house is germ free! We're enjoying the week off. We are having our house painted but there is LOTS of prep work to be done, as we have many pieces of rotting wood, etc. We have to have basically the wood around every single window replaced. It will be a lot of work but we are so excited to have it started!! Yesterday Cliff pulled down a dead tree in the backyard that had fallen into another tree. That tree saved us a roof! It took quite a while to get the stubborn thing to come down but finally it was done! Cliff met our neighbor that way and ended up pulling a tree down for him. After 5 years, I guess it was time we said hello. :)

I feel like there's so much more to say but I know I have to end this somewhere....and I have more I need to do during naptime besides just blog. But, at least this gets me a little caught up. I'm trying! :)
