The Many Faces of Walker

Walker had a good time at lunch today. He ate "people" green beans and ham chunks and had baby fruit...mostly because I tend to not buy a whole lot of fresh fruit.

He started making a new face on vacation. It's his mean face. He kind of turns his head downward, scrunches his forehead and eyebrows and looks up at you. These are the best pictures I could get of the face because for some reason when I tried to take a picture of the "new face" he'd start laughing.

And here he is doing the nose scrunch breathing again...we're still on that. :)

Pick a cup, any cup. At this point we'd be happy with ANY cup! He likes to drink out of grown-up cups while we hold them and does a good job with that. But we really need him to drink out of a little boy cup too! There are 4 of the 8 different kinds we tried. Unfortunately, he mainly likes to shake them and then throw them on the floor. All of these eventually ended up there today.

Here's a video of him eating his finger foods, making his new face (very first time he's done that on demand!) and showing you how he can clap! Oh and of course, slapping his tray like he typically does when he's just about done.

And here's a video of him trying SO hard to take a step. Before the video he took two very wobbly steps unassisted and I was so proud. I am home with him by myself today and tried my hardest to get a video of him taking more steps, to no avail...but the faces of determination he makes in this video just crack me up.
