A time to laugh....
We had a great Thanksgiving! We started at Cliff's parents house where Santa made a special visit. Cliff's Uncle Nick...aka Saint Nick...is now playing Santa in real life. :) He does an excellent job and brought his costume so that Walker could get a few snapshots. We had a great time with family. Then we headed to Thanksgiving with my Mom's side of the family which was also wonderful...we ate WAY too much. The three of us spent the night at Mom's house that night, our first time doing that as a family and had a really good time. Mom got up in the middle of the night for Walker's feeding so I got a good night sleep. I think that's the best night sleep I've had in my entire life!! Friday morning we got up and headed back to Mansfield for Thanksgiving with my Dad's side of the family and got roped into spending the night there. My Dad is so crazy about Walker, he just won't take no for an answer...but it was fun. Uncle Stephen and Aunt Crystal were home and so the whole gang was there...except Angie. We missed her!

Walker is doing SOO much new now! He has become extremely active...always kicking his legs and flailing his arms. I see so many new glimpses of his personality daily. He is definitely a busy body. Alot of his traits so far remind me so much of his Uncle Cory. Especially how impatient the little booger is! (In an adorable way of course...) He's really reaching for and sometimes even grabbing hold of his toys. He loves, loves, loves his bouncy seat now! This literally changed in the matter of 24 hours. One day he hated it, the next he loved it. He sits in it daily several times and just talks to Mr. Red Frog and the Monkey. He smiles, coos, and squeals at them. It cracks us up...
He has a new toy now...a tummy boppy play center. It's pictured in the blog. He's really liking it too. He enjoys the tummy boppy but rarely uses it because he is doing so well at holding up his head...as you can tell from the pic.
He is SO close to rolling over. I know it will be very soon. He can get his bottom half over but his shoulder gets stuck so he can't get all the way over yet. I know it's just a matter of time.
He goes down for his naps and at bedtime like a champ. Never any fussing or crying. He's such a good boy!
We had a few very rough nights but it seems to be that he's back on his schedule and he's only waking up once during the night now. He goes from about 8:30 p.m. until 2:30 or 3:00 a.m. without eating and once he's down at about 9:15 he's out until that time. He eats a few ounces and is back out again until we get up for the day around 6:45.

A time to cry...
Today was Walker's two month well baby visit. He had to have his shots...so sad. There were 4 of them and it was the most terrible thing I've experienced so far as a mother. The only thing that tops it is how I felt when they started screaming out things in the hospital about his heartrate dropping and me needing an emergency c-section, but that's a completely different ball game. He handled them like a champ though. He's had a good day despite the unfortunate circumstances. They made me hold his arms and I just leaned down and kissed him all over his face while he cried. I kept telling him he was ok...even though I wasn't. I was crying, he was crying...sniff, sniff, sniff....
He weighed 11 lbs and 13 oz and was 22 and 3/4 inches long! He's a growing boy. He was pretty much in the 50th percentile in all areas.
She rolled him on his tummy to see how well he could hold his head up. She commented that he does what they expect out of a 4 month old and told me to start taking those naked pictures everyone does. :)

He's done well since we got home. He hasn't been overly fussy and seems overall normal. He did seem a little needy at naptime which is unusual for him so I laid down with him and we slept for two hours! No complaints here...I cherish anytime I can nap with my baby cuddled up next to me and not have to feel guilty that I'm spoiling him. Sometimes, it's just necessary!
