Walker is one month old now. I can hardly believe that a whole month has gone by since I heard that sweet little cry that changed our world. So much has happened this month that I wish I had time to blog everyday so that nothing got left out.
Walker has started to smile real smiles now. I can tell the difference between his real smiles and his gas smiles because they look and are displayed totally different. Certain things make him smile, mainly his Daddy. He's also smiled real smiles for Mommy, Uncle Cory, Uncle Josh and some of his grandparents.
Walker has had a busy week. He's been many places. Last weekend he went to all three sets of his grandparents houses. He visited Noni and Grandpa's (Mom and Barry's) house for the first time. He also stayed with his other two sets of Grandparents for small amounts of time over the weekend and had fun playing there.
The past few nights have been hard on his little tummy and he hasn't been a very happy baby but all seems to have worked its way out now and he's back to his happy and loving little self. We had the best night as a family tonight. He's been in the best mood. Mommy and Daddy got out and went to dinner for a little break while Noni kept Walker and when we got back he was just so happy. We have had the most fun playing and taking cute pictures tonight. He's so fun!! We have many little games we play already and he really enjoys the stick out your tongue game that he and Daddy play every night.
Tuesday we went to visit Aunt Jenny, Ava and Audrey. Walker and Ava are one week apart and are so cute together. They didn't do much playing on their first play date, as when one was awake the other was sleeping and vice versa. But, we accomplished our goal of getting their pics taken together...of course, as it goes...when one was looking at the camera, the other was not. Go figure. :)
Walker is strictly on formula now and has been for a while. He's on Enfamil Gentlease and we're hoping that it's working well for him. He's been gassy again lately but his ped wants us to give him Mylicon drops at every feeding and keep him upright for about an hour after his feedings. She wants us to hold off on switching formula at this point. We'll see where that takes us.
He has a clogged tear duct in his right eye, so we are cleaning out gook daily and doing tear duct massages to help his little duct work the way it's supposed to. We've also seen real tears this week, which is a new development!
He holds his head up so high and just looks around. He loves looking at lights. When Daddy comes home from work, no matter what we are doing, Walker lifts his head up when he hears Cliff's voice and starts bobbing it around. He reminds me of a little baby bird poking it's head out of the nest. So cute!
Well, I'm going to take advantage of my mom being here and go to bed at the same time as Cliff tonight. Hope you enjoy the pics!
