Our ultrasound at Fetal Moments was one of the neatest experiences of my life. He was so full of energy and life and just bounced, rolled, moved around and put on a great show for us. Cliff and I were able to go in first for the lady to locate the baby, determine how big it was measuring and find the heartbeat. His heartrate was 147 and he was measuring two days bigger than we expected at a hefty 16 weeks! When she was measuring the little femur bone, we both saw "something" and knew it was a boy. So, Cliff asked her if she could show us the gender before the rest of our crew came in. She looked around for it and we kept seeing something pop up on the screen. We knew it was a boy before she even told us. When she got a good angle, she took the picture to the left and there was no denying his boyhood! We watched him for a few more minutes through teary eyes and then Cliff walked out to our family and friends who were joining us and said "Come see my boy!" Some of them didn't pick up on it, others thought the was pulling their leg and my favorite response was Crystal "did he mean boy, boy?" Or, at least it was something like that...the memories are blurred by the laughter. :) We were so blessed to have our family and a few close friends in the room with us watching our little boy and all I could think about was how much love was filling the room. After much more excitement, it was all over and it was time for Jenny's ultrasound. She's having another precious little girl. When I asked Audrey if she was having a baby sister her quick reply was "no." So cute! :) My family stuck around to find out what Jen was having and then we all went to dinner to celebrate the new little boy that was entering our family. The rest of the night was filled with lots of phone calls to everyone we know sharing our good news. When we got home, there was a gift from Tonya, Brinley and Michael. I have to share this story. Tonya told Brinley that Miss. Nicole was having a baby and that it was a boy. Brinley then states that Miss. Nicole has a "ittle" boy and a big boy. So, Tonya asked her who my big boy was and she said "Mr. Cliff." Now, how cute is that???
Oh...we've officially named the little man now. Stay tuned!
