Us lately

This is mostly a 9 month Will update, but while I'm at it I will update on a few other things as well.  I can't seem to find blogging energy these days.

Will is so much fun right now!  (when it's not bedtime that is...but that's another story for another day...)

He is into everything.  This is only the 2nd time this has happened, and I happen to have a picture of both times. We have pretty much settled on not opening the dishwasher until Will is in bed.
These days when Will is tired, he will find something to smoosh his face into and he tucks his arms up under him.  Normally the rest down in between his legs...which was REALLY funny the evening he did it naked.  No pics of that one. :)
He has started giving kisses and loves to kiss stuffed animals.  He also loves to kiss Walker and Daddy.  He saves his mommy kisses for late at night when I am trying to get him to go to bed.  CON ARTIST.
I realized the other day that Walker had and was attached to Pablo at this point.  Part of me is sad that Will doesn't have a lovey.  Part of me is relieved.  Though Pablo seems to have worked his way our of our lives a good bit, there are still times I find Walker cuddled up, thumb in mouth, Pablo against face.  It's cute.  As long as that's where it stays.  I was glad to see the extreme attachment to Pablo come to an end.  Most nights Pablo spends the night face down in some corner, forgotten, and I can't help but feel sorry for the little blue pal who used to get to share a warm cozy bed with a sweet, sweet boy.  :)

If you wonder whether Will wears anything besides this orange and brown outfit, yes...  These were mostly all taken on the same day because I realized I had hardly taken any pics this month!   Here he is being tired again.  (really, only about 3 minutes after the one where he's smooshing his face into the ground above)

In his 9th month, Will LOVES Elmo.  He just laughs and laughs and laughs.  Cliff does an AH-MAZING Elmo voice.  Seriously.  Just ask him.  You will be so impressed!

Kisses for Elmo.

Walker prefers to pillow fight Elmo...

...or punch him...

...or strangle him.  Depending on his mood, you see. :)  And Will just laughs as his poor, friend gets tormented.

Will discovered "outside the window" this month and LOVES it.  He gets M-A-D at night when he tries to pull the blinds back and look, but can't see out because it's dark.  He will hit the window and yell.  Then look at us, then do it again.  And again.  And again.   Around this age, Walker said "bird."  Will is nowhere close to saying bird.  Or anything.  Just dada.

The boys love to play together.  They are so much fun.  They already "fight" over things.  This was right before a fight broke out over my phone.  I mean a FIGHT.

Will is trying so hard to walk. And I am trying to discourage it.  He will let go and try to take a step.  He falls, of course.  But he's trying so hard.  He can get anywhere he wants on his feet as long as he has something to hold on to.  Here he is in action!

Mealtime has been a fun adventure this month!  Lots going on there.  Will hates stage 3 foods, other than fruit.  Just like Walker did.  And just like Walker was, Will is pretty much on "people" food when it comes to anything other than fruits.  Meaning, at this point, just veggies and some snacky foods.  Nothing major.  I am still afraid of his tummy not being ready.  He is loving mooshed up carrots, green beans (french style and cut), english peas, potatoes, etc.  Carrots are his favorite at the moment.  He loves fruit of any kind.  He is very interested in feeding himself.  Us, not so much.  It's too messy.  I know I need to let him experiment like I did with Walker.  But when it was with Walker, there was just Walker...not another care in the world.  Our life is different now.  Messes are everywhere!  No need to add another (unnecessary) one in my opinion.  HA!

Not tired here...he threw his sippy (which he has FINALLY learned how to drink out of) and he's looking for it.  Now that he's learned how to use it, we may try soonish to make it a bigger part of his life.  Maybe.  We'll see.  I do see him moving away from his bedtime bottle some, but I still very much enjoy our special time together rocking and (trying to) drink his bottle each night.  Until he starts playing me like a fiddle that is, and Cliff winds up having to take over.  Which happens.  Alot.  Sometimes.  :)

We love this face.  :)  He does it all the time.  Especially when he knows he has done something wrong-like throw his sippy or spit his food.

Not the best pic, but it's a shot of his top tooth...speaking of teeth, he finally has some.  THREE to be exact and another coming in right beside the one on the top left!

My boys already like to wrestle.  It's fun.  Especially because I have such fond memories of S and C wrestling on the living room floor each night of our childhood...big sister (me) in tow and Daddy not far behind.  Great memories that last a lifetime...so thankful my boys have started making those memories already!

My house is always this clean.  Seriously.  :)

Will loves to play with balls.  He chases them all over the house, hitting them when he reaches one so that it will roll and the chase can continue.  He can also understand "where's your ball?"  Some other phrases he "gets" these days are "Where's Walker?"  "Where's Daddy?" "Bye bye water..." "Do you want to take a bath?" (heads STRAIGHT to the bathroom!), and "Here comes the creepidy bug..."  he starts laughing before he is even touched, then cracks up at the first tickle!

Because he insisted on squeezing in a tight space to get his ball, he got stuck.  And I took a picture.  Then rescued him, of course.  :)

This is my best attempt at a Christmas tree picture.  I had already decided no Christmas cards for us (again) this year, and these type pictures usually stress me out in a throw me over the edge, this is ridiculous and totally unhealthy way, so I settled for this precious pic...

...and snapped one or two more of Will's escape!

Then big brother gave him an ornament to help me out...
A few things about Walker, then I'm done...my break n bakes my sweet husband made are waiting for me!
Walker is in a smart mouth stage.  We've had to do some MAJOR reigning in.  On the flip side, his behavior   (other than that) is pretty good these days.  He's really learning alot in  preschool, and still seems to love it.  I can tell he is "all boy" when it comes to writing, etc.  I see the signs early because I teach boys.  :)  He'd much rather be active-moving-learning that way.  He has to know the how and why of EVERYTHING.  EVERYTHING.  His most recent favorite entertainment has been a you tube video Cliff showed his 8th grade class on simple machines...a homemade one.  Yep, Walker loves is.  They watch it over and over.
He wants to reason everything out.  It's nerdy and adorable all at the same time.

He quotes everything he hears on tv...sometimes (ok, alot of times) to a fault.  That's where alot of his smart mouth comments have come from.  We are cutting back.  :)  He even quotes commercials when we see toys in Walmart.  The other day he saw something (dragadar, maybe) that is a ball racing track.  He said the name (dragadar maybe) and then says "tracks and balls sold separately..."  He does that for almost every toy we pass that he's seen a commercial on.  Seriously.

He is an excellent big brother.  He helps us SO much.  He is great with Will.  I love hearing him say things like "We don't put leaves in our mouth, Will..."  "We don't bite, Will..."  Everything is "we."  He loves playing with Will, taking a bath with Will (still one of my favorite parts of the day...I have so many cute pics that I can't post...), teaching Will things and entertaining Will.  They are best friends already!

He is so active.  Have I mentioned that?  I sometimes envy my friends who get to sit and play school, hair dresser, doctor...what have you...girl stuff.  Sit on your butt and rest your feet type stuff.  None of that around here.  So, I'll sit on my butt and rest my feet in 18 years or so.  Until then, I'll enjoy the ride...and try not to get too roughed up with all this wrestling I'm having to do.  Good thing I started training early. :)
