I cannot believe Will is 7 months old! Alot has changed with Will in the past few weeks.
We didn't have a 7 month check up, but I did take Will to the doc for a sick visit right when he turned 7 months old, and he weighed right at 18 lbs. Will is still a tall baby, as most of his pants indicate he might be waiting for a flood. :)
One of the things that's made the biggest impact on MY life in the past month and a half is that Will is now a fully functional sitter! This means lots of things, but most directly it means that my bathtime troubles are over! Bathtime is now SO much fun. Will either gets in the tub alone, or with Walker...which is what we do most of the time. The two of them have the best time. Will loves getting a bath!
At 7 months, Will also enjoys being outside. On the (still very rare) occasion that he isn't happy, a little sunshine seems to do the trick. We spent alot of time outside when Will was sick a few weeks back...it did wonders for his mood! A little natural therapy. :) Did wonders for MY mood too. Ha!
Because Will can now sit up, he's been able to use his highchair both at home, and out in public. He loves it. Our highchair cover has to be replaced...the highchair was apparently under the portion of the attic that the tree fell on because there were tree bits and mildew all over it. NASTY. But, Will doesn't seem to mind for now. He just sits without a cover and all is well.
Will eats all sorts of baby foods. He is still on stage 2 baby food, though we've tried a few "real" foods here and there...mostly as a result of peer pressure. :) He's tried the soft inside of a biscuit, the soft inside of a french fry, sucked every ounce of juice out of a dill pickle, and had a few smooshed up green beans at Grammies. He loved them all. LOVED THEM. Will is a little piggy. He likes to eat!

He's also discovered puffs this month. The first time I gave them to him, he wasn't at all sure what to do with them. But a week later, at church, I tried again and he's been hooked ever since!
Will is all over the place. Walker used to do this very thing! I just laughed when he did it...good memories from when Walker was a baby. These are the things I cherish. Things they won't be interested in when they are older...things that only a 7 month's curiousity would be sparked by. A dishwasher is a wonderland for him right now, and I embrace it!
In the past month, Walker and Will have really started playing together. This makes me so happy. I cannot tell you how full of laughter our home is on a daily basis. The boys just shrill out of sheer pleasure and good times and Cliff and I always share loving glances with smiles, knowing our hearts are growing bigger every second of our lives together. In the past few months, our home has transitioned from a somewhat stressful and adaptive environment, to an incredibly fun and entertaining environment...full of love and anticipation of our lives together.
Walker likes to build jails and forts for Will and trap him inside. This particular day, he decided to join him. :)
Walker and Will are best friends already, and I know that life is going to bring so much excitment and special moments for these two!
At this point in their lives, you can kind of equate their relationship to a boy and his puppy. Think cute picture hanging in doctor's office of little boy dragging wrinkly puppy around...and there you have it! I absolutely LOVE this pic of a little booty, and a hand reaching backwards DRAGGING his brother through the tent! HILARIOUS!
And another angle from the top of the tent. Will is so patient...but Will can definitely hold his own! We don't much worry about Walker being too rough with Will these days. Will is a tough boy! He is already pretty rough, and it's possible he might wind up a little more rough than Walker! We'll see.
Will also does his share of scampering through the tent and tunnels. They have so much fun in here! I also find myself a little busier these days trying to keep Will safe. He pulls to standing on anything he can reach and then has recently started trying to let go. This means he falls. ALOT. But, so far we have avoided any major injuries.

These days Will also enjoys the indian call. Ms. Cristy taught it to him one day and when he makes up his mind he wants you to do it, you will know it. He does it himself until you do it to him, and then he changes his voice a little bit and just laughs and laughs. Silly
I think it's possible that Will favors his daddy right now, and I think I am ok with it. :) He definitely loves his mama, but there is just something about the way he interacts with Cliff and the excitement he shows with his Daddy. Melts my heart. I am one blessed woman. Cliff is crazy about his boys. I love the way he looks at them, and the way he looks at me when they are both crawling/jumping on him and giggling.
I thought for a brief moment that Will was in the beginning stages of separation anxiety, but it appears I was wrong, and maybe his recent antics were just a result of his ear infection. He is back to his happy go lucky self...but 7 months brought with it a temper. A major one. Just don't make him wait on his food, and give him every single little things he wants and your good. No temper. :) It's cute. For now.
Here's our little family with Will at 7 months and Walker at 4 years. Walker wanted to take a self family portrait last Saturday while we were playing outside, and so we did!
Everyone we know still says Will is the happiest baby they've ever seen. I don't know why it means so much to hear people say that, but it really does. Will truly is the happiest baby we know. We love him!!
