Oops...Will turned 6 months...

Will turned 6 months on Sept. 8, 2011...and I am just now writing about it!  The sixth month was quite an exciting month for Will, full of milestones and good times!
He had his 6 month appointment on Sept. 14 and checked out great.
His stats were:
Height: 27.75 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 17 lbs, 5.5 oz (about 60th percentile)

This month Will learned to crawl!  I mean really crawl.  Since I posted the video, he's really taken off.  We lose Will all the time.  He's there one minute, the next he is G-O-N-E!  Some of the places he likes to go are to the sidelight windows by our front door, under the end table in our livingroom, onto the bottle shelf of the bookshelf in the livingroom, into the bathroom, and into Walker's room.  He is ALL over the place!
He is just starting to attempt to pull up on things, but hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet.  This scares me.  So much.

Will has solids at every meal.  I was a little scared that I was going to get in "trouble" at his 6 month appointment for doing that before they gave me the go-ahead, but they said I did the right thing, since I could tell formula was no longer holding his appetite.  He has tried all stage one foods, and has moved up to stage two foods.  He hates peas and peaches with a passion. Everything else he seems to be able tolerate, and some things he absolutely loves.  He is a little piggy for sure!

At Will's appointment, we had to answer no to two milestone questions...if he was sitting independently and if he was saying "mama" or "dada."  But they didn't ask if he was crawling...so I told them.  :)  lol.

Since the appointment, he has learned to both sit independently and say "mama."  He first said "hey."  We think it's possible that he thinks Cliff is "hey," because he's really only said it to Cliff. I've heard it though several times.  But it's only when his daddy is around, walks in the room, etc.  He gets so excited and says "hey!"

Cliff was with him when he first said mama.  Cliff wasn't going to tell me, but Cristy heard him and told me!  Cliff later told me that he heard him that morning, but he was working hard to teach him to say dada before I got home.  Lol.

Will continues to be the life of the party and the sunshine in our day.  He is such a happy baby...still smiling all the time, laughing his day away and loving everyone he comes in contact with.  It's hard not to adore him.  Our friends "fight" over who gets to hold him, and don't even get my family started!

So many people say that Will is the happiest baby they have ever seen, and I have to agree.  I love his "zest" for life already.  I cannot wait to see how he continues to add to our family and brighten our worlds!
